Pushmo Sequel, Crashmo, Headed To U.S. Nintendo eShop In November

By Ishaan . October 4, 2012 . 12:01pm

Just a short while ago, Nintendo of Europe announce that Nintendo eShop platformer, Pushmo, is getting a sequel. Titled Fallblox in Europe, the game plays similarly to Pushmo, but adds gravity mechanics like floating and falling blocks.

This game has also been confirmed for release in North America. Nintendo of America will publish it under the title Crashmo. It will be available on November 22nd. As previously reported, the game will contain 140 new levels.

Oh wow, where did this come from?  What a surprise!  I figured with all the product Intelligent Systems has been putting out lately, there was no way we would see anything not already announced from them until next holiday season at the very earliest.  But no, looks like they put another game together for this year already!

For those keeping track, in 2012 Intelligent Systems has released a Fire Emblem and Pushmo, and for the holiday is releasing Paper Mario and Crashmo.

I don’t understand this development (I didn’t think the studio was large enough to output so much product so quickly) but I’m more than happy with it.  Intelligent Systems is one of my absolute favorite studios, and their quality seems only to be improving over time.

There’s really only one thing left in their stable of franchises that they haven’t touched lately… maybe Advance Wars next year?
