ibb and obb Brings Creative Co-Op Platforming To PlayStation 3 In 2013

By Ishaan . October 8, 2012 . 12:30pm

ibb and obb, a cooperative puzzle-platformer, is headed to the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 3 in the future. The game puts two players in a world with two directions of gravity—up and down—and requires that they cooperate to get through the game’s stages. Here’s a trailer to demonstrate:

One example of cooperation that developer, Sparpweed, give is how rewards from enemies are acquired. If one player takes an enemy out, the reward might show up on the other side of the split, requiring the other player to collect it.

ibb and obb doesn’t have a release date yet, but Sparpweed say to expect it sometime in Spring 2013.

It seems and interesting game. I like this way of gaming, you know.. developers starting on iOS and Android but giving a try to videogame handleds (: Hope this continues.

Much as it hits basically every main stereotype about indie games, it looks pretty good and as long as the level design holds up it could be pretty fun. Hope it has some sort of length to it, too.

lol so true about indie stereotypes – i thought i was the only one… ‘weird’ art, minimal text & presentation (throw in witty or snarky dialogue as well) and new-agey music… but i also agree that this actually looks like it has compelling gameplay and level design. kudos.
