Sony’s next major God of War game, God of War: Ascension, will have a special collector’s edition when it releases in March 2013. The collector’s edition will cost $80 and you can find a list of everything it includes below.

Here’s a rundown of what’s in the box:

  • An 8” Kratos statue
  • A Steelbook case
  • Official game soundtrack
  • Double XP bonus for multiplayer
  • DLC pass to unlock all future DLC for free
  • PlayStation 3 dynamic theme and PSN avatar pack

Additionally, if you pre-order either the standard or collector’s edition of the game, you’ll get the “Mythological Heroes Multiplayer Pack” that lets you play as Perseus, Orion, Achilles or Odysseus in multiplayer.

    The statue looks freaking sweet!

The statue looks pretty cool, and that steelbook case looks pretty classy. Depends on the price over here (if we do get this), but I’d get it.

  • LunarKnite

Looks pretty cool. I loved the God of War 3 collector’s edition. I’m a sucker for awesome boxes. Definiely gotta preorder one version, I want to play as Odysseus after doing a third of one of my classes this semester focusing on The Odyssey.

at first i was weary of buying the game because of online multiplayer, but now that theres a collectors edition…….im preordering it right now!!!!

  • Ben Sylvia

Wait we get ALL future DLC with this, AND the statue???

  • Godman

This is a pretty damn good deal!

    I’m so getting it X)

  • I love the GOW series, but I don’t play multiplayer. I hope the added multiplayer features won’t come at the expense of the single player experience. Also, I’m getting this for that awesome steel box!

  • Do it have normal blu-ray plastic box??
    I hate steelcase.

  • Is it confirmed to be a CD soundtrack or digital?  I will assume digital since that is what they did with GoW3…but a physical CD would be nice
