Atelier Ayesha Headed To Europe In Q1 2013

By Yusouf . October 17, 2012 . 8:30am

Atelier Ayesha is headed to Europe, Tecmo Koei Europe’s community manager has revealed. The game will see a Q1 2013 release date and will be released for the PlayStation 3.

In addition to Atelier Ayesha, Tecmo Koei have also confirmed the localisation of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus and Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus will arrive in Q1 2013 for the PlayStation Vita, while Fist of The North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 will be available on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in February 2013.

The Wii U version of Ken’s Rage 2 has yet to be dated for European release. However, Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper is headed to the Wii U on November 30th.

    Oh cool. Sweet. Yay.

  • Alex Sargeant

    You wonderful bastards.

  • Oh, yes! I can’t wait to have this join my PS3/gaming library, that being said, Totori and Meruru still need to be completed.

Plus, that picture above perfectly sums up are readiness for this game and Ayesha also looks ready to “conquer” Europe. :D *fantasizes about Ayesha’s pre-order bonus(es) or CE*

  • Alex Cattaneo

    yES YES YES!

  • SirRichard

Hot damn, 2013’s looking to open with a bang isn’t it? It’s a quicker turn-around than I expected, too, didn’t think we’d see this until the summer at the earliest.

  • While I know it looks good if it is getting localized, has there been a time frame given for the states?

  • AndyFe

That is some great news hopefully we’ll hear some news about a NA release as well

  • KingGunblader

I don’t know if this has been confirmed for NA or not, but I bought Atelier Totori wanting to love it, but the focus on alchemy just turned me way off. Is that the Atelier series in general or can I get excited about this one?

    • They’re all focused on alchemy. That’s the point of the games, really. I’m afraid if that’s what turned you off from Totori, you probably won’t be a fan of the series in general.

      • KingGunblader

        Well I suppose I can’t have them all. :/

    • $733987

Go back to Atelier Iris Trilogy, maybe?

    • Draparde

the only Atelier games i know that don’t have as much of a focus on making things is the Atelier Iris game’s for the PS2. as Dusk stated

      • KingGunblader

Perhaps I’ll check them out if they get added as PS2 Classics. Thanks guys!

    • CirnoTheStrongest

Yes, it’s still got a strong focus on alchemy, but this one pulls off much more an emphasis on exploration. And the next Ayesha game is rumored to be a more ‘traditional RPG’, so you might want to get this to be prepared for that. And, besides, it’s a really fun game, HUGE improvement from the others, so you might end up enjoying it ~

  • Awesome Q1 is awesome! Can’t wait for Fist of the North Star 2!! Ayesha is also very nice~

  • Ravage27

A release date at last, and it’s earlier than expected too! :D

  • $733987

I bought the chinese version cause’ I couldn’t wait. Unfortunately, the chinese publishers don’t seem to want to release the dlc. T_T

    • CirnoTheStrongest

If it’s the ‘Asian version’, then it works with Japanese DLC. I should know, because I bought the Asian version and am using Wilbell’s swimsuit ~

      • $733987

        I’ll try it out! Thanks.

        • CirnoTheStrongest

           No problem~
I was worried about the same thing, but was informed the Asian version is just the Japanese game in different packaging.

  • Juan Manuel M. Suárez

And the rest of the World~? >.>

  • Demeanor

Yeah, bring it on!!! Day one!
(crap! I still have to finish Meruru, now that I think about it! ^ ^)

    • Mr_SP

So do I. One playthrough and several endings down, now to get all the other endings and my Platinum.

  • Juuu

I’m sorry, I hate to be the pessimistic one here but….Does this mean NISA is no longer involved in the series? I thought they gave Atelier a GREAT treatment; lovely LEs and dual audio, well-casted dubs, lively translations, the works. Are they still doing any translations and TK is publishing, or are they out whatsoever? Can’t help but be curious! At least we’re getting Ayesha. I hope Totori Plus is soon to follow~

    • Ladius

Don’t worry, NISA is still localizing the game and co-publishing it in the US.

    • CirnoTheStrongest

It’s quite possible. Tecmo Koei bought Gust, so things have changed a lot.

  • Argh… this is a bit nerve wracking.   I’d like to know about the US myself…

  • Vitonofrio del Rosso

    getting this fo’shizzle!

  • ivanchu77

Now that Nisa is no longer involved, i´m worried about the game not having japanese voices, i hope it´s included

    • Xerain

Just because they’re not publishing it doesn’t mean they’re not involved.

      • D H

At least in the US, Tecmo Koei has been distributing NISA’s games for quite some time.  It’s usually in the fine print on the back of the game case; my Neptunia mk2 quite clearly states “Licensed and published by NIS America.  Distributed by Tecmo Koei.”  This just looks like maybe TK has announced it before NISA was planning to.

        • CirnoTheStrongest

Chances are TK’s got the full localization rights. Either way, if TK was doing it, then actually it’d likely be JP dub only.

        • Xerain

The way NISA has been answering questions about the game in interviews suggests to me their team is at work translating the game, but they are uncertain whether NISA or Tecmo Koei will be appearing as the publisher on the box.

    • omenaaa

What gives you the impression that they would not include japanese voices?

  • margherita mastropaolo

i’m really glad to hear that,i really love the atelier series, along with hyperdimension neptunia it’s one of my favorite series of videogames

  • Alexander Aubert

    MY MONEY ISN’T READY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great news for Europe =^_^=

  • Big fan of the Ateiler Series and t will be waste if the game just goes to
Europe and to be honest I dont care what NIS games Europe gets and dis
not get I mean if it the game just goes to Europe thats a total slap in
ours faces on so many levels

  • SpecDotSign

Ummmm so us NISA faithful here in the US get….? I’m not opposed to importing, but c’mon guyz. Where’s my Atelier Ayesha (spoken by the guy who still hasn’t finished Totori).

    • CirnoTheStrongest

Tecmo Koei bought out Gust in Japan and as such…NISA’s lost their strong partnership with Gust T_T

Still, I’m positive it will be released in NA, this was a EU event, so it’s only natural they’d just talk about the EU release.

      • Blaze Townsend

The strong partnership is still there, but they have to talk to big daddy to get anything done.

  • I have not beaten any Atelier Arland yet because I don’t have Rorona and won’t start playing until I have it. I’m pretty sure NISA is handling the localization and TK is publishing it.

    • Blaze Townsend

Based on the forums, NISA is unsure of how this one will be published. As stated in a forum post by a moderator in the new game request forum for Totori Plus. “At this point anything Atelier would have to go through Tecmo-Koei. First they’d have to decide if they want to bring the game over here, then they’d have to decide if they wanted to work with us to do it. Neither of those are things we can put into action on our own.”
However some light, though dim, is present in the post for Ayesha thread. The response was to someone asking to shed some light onto its release. “Unfortunately we can’t, since as our marketing dude mentioned a lot of things are still being worked out right now. Once we get final word, we can talk more about it, but for now it’s just wait and see.

      Things are progressing, though.”

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Hah, if they get it before us I’m importing so damn hard and not looking back.

  • Rogerrmark

Do want this game.Heard some people saying it sucked compared to Totori/Meruru though, and was almost at Rorona’s level.
    I hope they are wrong.

Not saying Rorona was that bad,but it could be better,a lot better, imo.

    • CirnoTheStrongest

Those people are utter trolls. You will NOT be disappointed in this game!

  • Ladius

Can’t wait to play Ayesha, it seems to be the best Atelier released so far on PS3 and I’ve heard wonderful things about the plot, crafting and battle system :)

  • I’ve heard and seen good things about Ayesha and this makes for some really great news!
