Tomb Raider Gameplay Presentation Shows Off 30 Minutes Of Footage

By Ishaan . October 17, 2012 . 2:30pm

At this year’s Eurogamer Expo, Crystal Dynamics held an hour-long presentation of the new Tomb Raider that showed off an extensive amount of in-game footage from an early portion of the game.

You get to see Lara retrieve a bow-and-arrow, and do a bit of platforming before she runs into her team and then proceeds to solve a few more puzzles with them. Footage begins around the 8-minute mark.

The presentation was recorded and has been shared by the official Tomb Raider YouTube account, and you can watch it above. Tomb Raider will be released on March 5th, 2013 in North America.

It might be a good game.

    • might!? are we looking at the same game here?

      • Shadowman

Yes. It just the story on how it all started.

  • Though I hate how it’s following the trend of gritty and dark and realistic remakes/reboots, I gotta admit this looks pretty bad ass. Hope it turns out well.

I’m just happy I can get to experience a pseudo uncharted game on a mid tier PC :)

    • Syn

Pseudo uncharted???? *sigh* Do we have to do this with every tomb rider article. Uncharted = Tomb rider Inspired/themed game. Tomb Rider = Actual Older original game. Unless somehow the space time continuum made Uncharted the inspirational game for Tomb Rider, your statement is kinda off, but hey, maybe its just the rambling of an old gamer.

I hope they arent too many QTE’s cos this looks like a really good game.

This game looks like they saw how Uncharted was successful and threw out everything Uncharted did that was like the original Tomb Raiders, leaving nothing but scripted sequences and pretty animations.

It’s fine. I kinda see your point but I just want you to know that I meant it as a compliment.

I know there are more who can give better details but just the way this new TR is currently presented is much closer to a UC game than the prev. TR games.

BUT! I can’t really deny that putting “pseudo” on my original comment was a bad choice for wording.. It comes off as a little too condescending.

    So epic! *_*
