Iron Man Nendoroid Looks Both Cool And Adorable

By Ishaan . October 20, 2012 . 10:30am

Spider-Man got a Nendoroid figurine earlier this year, and now it’s Iron Man’s turn. Iron Man Mark 7: Hero’s Edition is a fully posable Iron Man Nendoroid, based on his design in The Avengers, and the Good Smile Company showed him off on their blog recently. Take a look at a few of their photographs below:

The Iron Man Mark 7: Hero’s Edition Nendoroid is up for pre-order now in Japanese stores. You can find it on AmiAmi for 2,880 yen ($36). And if Nendoroids aren’t your style, there’s always this:

I come back and there’s such a warm welcome.  Aw, I feel bad for not posting anything.   Much love.

        • M’iau M’iaut

We were joking on twitter that if we all reacted this way after your return from 4 months, some of us might jump off a bridge if Yusaku were ever to post again. :P

I never really left, just have been super busy! I missed you guys too.

I love that it’s Robert Downey Jr. Tony Stark underneath the mask. Loved the Iron Man movies, and he was the best Avenger too.

  • It’s cute, but the body is a bit effiminate.. Like, 1 CM wider shoulders, and it’d be golden.

….mustaches on chibi Nendos, eh??  Heh.
    Anyways, it’s darling.

  • d19xx

There’s no way it can fly with that huge head…

    • Good thing it’s a stylized toy and not an actual flying object.

  • I wanna see the Hulk’s Nendoroid. Now that would be something…

Scratch that, I want to see whole team and shout out: Nendoroids, assemble!

  • This is adorable. I need it.
On AmiAmi it says “For sale in Japan only.”…does that mean they don’t ship certain items internationally?
    Like this one?
Why?! T_T But I want to buy one! Where else could I get him?

Edit: Nvm, YESASIA does, among other places @[email protected] need.

Most likely because unlike the vast majority of stuff AmiAmi sells, the copyright holder is not in Japan, so licensing for Iron Man figures outside of Japan is held by others who could sue.

I think you could still place order from AmiAmi (I’ve ordered stuffs from them that says for Jpn only too). should have it also.  Only Amazon Jpn doesn’t sell or ship games or figures outside Japan.

This reminds me of SD Gundam, but the small Nendoroid hoof feet look a bit unbalanced, usually SD mech have huge feet :)

      • Thanks for the info!

His little feet do look very small compared to his big cute face. I guess the stand-thing will take care of that, though.

        • Aoshi00

Yeah, the cityscape stand is pretty nifty.  That’s one thing about Nendoroid, they can’t stand on their own w/ the huge noggin and hoof feet w/o the platform support..  I like him w/o the helmet on :) Looking forward to Iron Man 3 too.

    • If you can add it to your cart, you can buy it off Amiami.

I hope you like expensive shipping rates, though.

      • Thankyuh. I’ll keep that in mind. I’ve never ordered from them before.

        And yeah, ugh, shipping..

I ended up going to YesAsia, and with free shipping and a little $3 off coupon for first-time orders (code: NEWTWITTER3), the total was just about $55. that’s not too bad, I think.

        • Aoshi00

AmiAmi’s shipping is actually pretty reasonable, if you don’t mind getting your stuffs a bit slower.  A regular game would be 380 yen using SAL unregistered the cheapest method.  For a nendoroid box, it’s probably 600 yen.  So you ordering this from YesAsia costs about the same, also Y-A is giving a $5 coupon when you order $50 or above now, so you would get another $5 coupon later once your order ships.

AmiAmi’s price is the best when it comes to limited edition of games or these figures, also they’re very good w/ pre-order bonus, unlike other stores which usually can’t guarantee.  I always choose the least expensive SAL shipping to save as I’m in no rush to get things.

BTW, I order the most from both Yes-Asia (manga/CDs) and AmiAmi (pre-order imports).. both have very good price and are reliable. is another good one.   Play-Asia is finally getting more competitive recently by offering free shipping for orders over $25 as well..

For most figures, check AmiAmi first for best pricing :)

The “For sale in Japan only” statement doesn’t matter. Pretty much everything they sell says that. Don’t know if it’s for legal issues or what, but I’ve ordered plenty of figures and stuff from them without a problem. The shipping prices can be a pain though. You either order it SAL and get it in a month, or EMS and get it in 3 days(to me in the US). I generally spend the extra $10-$15 to get my stuff quicker, but that’s just me. I also like the security of tracking numbers.

      • That’s good to know. It freaked me out. D; Thank you for the heads up.
I think I’ll be ordering a lot from AmiAmi in the future. Now that I have one figure on the way, I have released the flood gates…

Oh, also, would I have to use Paypal to convert currency to yen or something? I’m not sure if that would add on more fees. I need to take a closer look at their policies

  • NANAandLIZZYfanatic

That is pretty cool tho lol

  • Solomon_Kano

I think I’ve just found my first Nendoroid!

    • I got a mini one at a convention before, but this is the first time I’ve decided to preorder/import a Nendoroid…or any figure, actually
I feel like I’ve just reached a new level of nerd…aaah, he’s so cute! Chibi Robert Downy Jr. is the greatest thing I have ever seen. I was won over as soon as I saw that mask open.

      • Solomon_Kano

Yea, figures have always been out of my area of nerdiness lol. But this? This demands purchase! I really hope they do the rest of the team as well.
