“Bookstore Anywhere” e-Book Service For Nintendo 3DS Delayed

By Ishaan . October 23, 2012 . 1:21pm

The Nintendo 3DS was supposed to see an e-Book service this month, called Bookstore Anywhere, developed by Japanese company, Librica. This app has now been delayed and will be released at some later point in the future, Librica have announced via their website.

The Bookstore Anywhere app is in development for the Nintendo eShop. When it launches, it will be a free app and will allow users to download manga, Japanese manga magazines, and eventually even light novels and regular magazines.

Librica say the delay is to facilitate further improvements to the Bookstore Anywhere app, and that they will announce a new release date for the app at some point in the future. You can find details of the original announcement here.

I could see it being useful for something like mangas, or maybe news articles, i don’t think reading entire books off a 3DS screen is good for you though. It would be cool if some comics had “3D enhancements” I think that would be pretty good idea, maybe not all of them though

i honestly don’t like searching the internet with my 3ds but that was the older model not my xl. But i agree entire books seems kinda silly.

Comics/manga works fine, but an entire book is definitely silly. I’ve been reading manga on the 3DS once in a while, and I think comics and manga works fine on the system.

You can always read manga on the web browser, so it’s not too big of a problem for me. :D
