By Ishaan . October 25, 2012 . 8:45am

This week’s Nintendo eShop highlight is Liberation Maiden, developed by Level 5 in collaboration with No More Heroes creator, Suda 51. The game is a 3D shoot-em-up that has you playing as Shoko Ozora and her Liberator, Kamui. The game costs $7.99 on the Nintendo eShop and you can watch a trailer for it here.

Also available this week is Nicalis’ Night Sky for $9.99. This is a physics-based action-puzzle game and you can find a trailer here.

Finally, on the original eShop games front, there’s a free demo for Marvel Pinball 3D and 20 free downloadable levels for Renegade Kid platformer, Mutant Mudds. That brings the game’s level count to 60 stages in total.

Additionally, you can also grab two new Coin Rush DLC course packs for New Super Mario Bros. 2—the “Gold Mushroom Pack” and “Coin Challenge Pack B”.

3DS Virtual Console:

(3DS) Ghost ‘n Goblins$4.99

(3DS) Castlevania: The Adventure$3.99

Meanwhile, the Wii Virtual Console has a release of its own this week—Shock Troopers, published by D4 Enterprise. This is a military-themed 8-way Neo Geo shooter originally released in 1997, and costs 900 Wii Points ($9).

European eShop update:

Europe gets Heavy Fire: Special Operations 3D for its original eShop game this week, along with Mighty Bomb Jack for the 3DS Virtual Console. The New Super Mario Bros. 2 DLC is available today as well. You can view the full European update here.
