Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge Video Shows Ayane’s Fast And Furious Style

By Ishaan . November 2, 2012 . 9:10am

We’ve already seen footage of Ryu Hayabusa in Ninja Gaiden: Razor’s Edge for Wii U, but this week, Team Ninja showed off footage of Ayane slicing enemies in half and dodging bullets. Is it just me or does she look more fun to play as than Ryu…?

Ayane will have her own chapters where you can play as her in Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, but a separate mode will allow you to play as either her or Ryu in any of the game’s stages. The two can also team up for co-op online multiplayer.

As previously reported, Ayane won’t be the only new playable character in Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. Team Ninja will be adding more playable characters to the game as free DLC after its release.

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge will be released on November 18th in the U.S.

I honestly can’t tell if TN reverted the O.H.K. charge attack back to the old one or that we have both.

Still can’t believe Wii U is launching with a Ninja Gaiden. Ayane looks awesome, can’t wait to play this.

Am I the only one who thinks the HUGE discrepancy between Ninja Gaidens all out gore fest and Dead or Alives clean and “wholesome” fighting is the most awkward yet humorous thing ever? In DOA Ayane get’s flustered and kinda bratty and short and rude except if it’s about ~Master Hayate~, and in this game she will kill you.

She will. kill. You. And yet the two take place in the same universe! Funny thing that…

So, I heard that Ninja Gaiden 3 sorta has a bad rep among the Ninja Gaiden fanbase… is it because of the many finishing blow/kill animations? ‘Cause in that video alone, I think I’ve seen the camera zoom in to show all the gore and blood splatter at least 10 times. Being one who has only played Ninja Gaiden on the DS and Vita, I can’t really say if it makes TOO much of a difference… but I feel that if I were to play with all that camera zooming, I think I would be a little annoyed. It kinda breaks the flow of the action.

Its was the first NG3 was a crap game, this is the improved rerelease.

      • Chris Harris

Yeah the first NG3 was horrible, you no dismemberment and you were stuck with that freakin sword for the whole darn game
