Denmark-based studio, Interceptor Entertainment, are working on a reboot of cult hit first-person shooter, Rise of the Triad, scheduled for a PC release in 2013. This morning, Interceptor shared a first developer diary for the game that discusses how they went about their remake and features they added. Take a look at it below:

The Rise of the Triad reboot will be released in 2013 on Steam. The game will include an option to play with the sounds and music of the original 1995 Rise of the Triad. The game will also allow for modding and sharing via Steamworks.

I’m okay with this, especially because I can’t play the original game anymore (the view bobbing would kill my stomach in minutes).

Totally agree with that.  Game had an awesome soundtrack though which would be a reason to continue playing.  Well that and crushing enemies and seeing flying eyeballs spatter on the screen, haha.  Man good ol’ DOS days as a junior high kid were awesome!
