Meet The Actors Behind Mundus And Lilith In DmC Devil May Cry

By Ishaan . November 10, 2012 . 4:30pm

Capcom have shared the first video in an upcoming series of DmC Devil May Cry developer diaries. This first one introduces the actors for Mundus and his mistress, Lilith, and gives a peek at the motion capture process for the two characters. Take a look at it below:

As previously reported, DmC Devil May Cry is being shot at the same Los Angeles studio that James Cameron used to shoot Avatar. Ninja Theory are using their own proprietary technology to convey facial expressions in the game.

DmC Devil May Cry will be released on January 15th, 2013 in North America.

  • Hopefully this Lilith is as fappable as the one from Darkstalkers.

    •  Or Darksiders, for more accuracy.

I love a good one track mind XD

      • I’m sorry! Lilith does this to me. >_<

        I can't think of her without going there ; ;

    • Göran Isacson

I dunno, this one has boobs and curves so if Lilith’s type is what ya fap to I think this one is a bit too… ‘ripe’, shall we say, for your tastes :3

You mean a game that borrows story lines from Linkin Park’s teen angsty lyrics is better than DMC 3 which borrowed story lines from the Divine freakin’ Comedy ?!

      • M’iau M’iaut

Come now, lets not go claim DMC3 or any of the others were an attempt to play The Divine Comedy. The game that was supposed to do that was one called The Lost, which ended up getting a tiny digital PC release as I recall.

        • And I don’t think Dante’s Awakening was borrowing lines from Divine Comedy in any particularly meaningful way either…

          • Gaara D.Dragon

            Look it up then.

Just don’t patronize me that the emo circle jerk fest “society hates me and everyone is against me” is in any way meaningful.

          • I never implied that one is more meaningful than the other. What I’m saying is: If the excerpt isn’t used in any meaningful way, whether it comes from an age-old literature classic or a modern song means absolutely nothing.

        • Juan Andrés Valencia

Not even Dante’s Inferno recreates The Divine Comedy.

          • N~ope. That game is about as faithful to the source as… I dunno, a lot of modern media adaptations.

Theres no video being shown its just empty blank white space was it forgotten to add in to the post? or is it just me…..but for me its not a big deal im not impressed with motion capture anymore its been used for a number of years by now and watching the process is nothing new. When it first came out for video gaming I was genuinely interested in its use but now its realy nothing unique or interesting to watch since people generally like to show off this aspect.

“Take a look at it below:”

*looks at the empty white space between the paragraphs*

That is the most fascinating video I’ve ever seen! Truly, I feel that this video has helped enrich my life and expand my horizons! =P

  • I clicked and clicked yet nothing happened. Best video ever. =P

  • neocatzon
  • Sorry guys. Video added now!

  • Domii

This version of Mundus seems to be like Dante’s toughest challenge yet.

    • GreekGod88

With such a broken DT in DmC nobody will be a threat to Donte

  • Benjamin Widdowson

LOL “dont think, be a drone, do as we say, say” then the “preorder now” splash… UGH no thanks Capcom.

  • delon33

I hope no one took the the last part of the video seriously. It’d be hilarious if anyone did.

    • MagiusNecros

Dun worry.  I didn’t take the whole video seriously.

      • delon33

  • Hm. I can’t help but notice the part where they described the villains as “archetypal”. Hopefully, they won’t just end up “stereotypical” instead.

  • XiaomuArisu
  • Richard N

Oh gawd, here we go again…..

While I’m actually excited and fully support the game, the editing on this video is really annoying. Super schizophrenic.

  • Göran Isacson

Aaahuh. Man that was kind of awkward there, at the end with the repeating lines and the stilted unconvincing PR-speech and the editing and yes. Awkward. Awkward all around.

  • l777l

This video is supposed to be stylish.
