Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault On PlayStation Vita Pushed To January

By Ishaan . November 19, 2012 . 2:20pm

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault is a cross-buy game for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, but it won’t be launching simultaneously on both devices, Sony announced this afternoon.

The PlayStation 3 version of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault is being developed by series developer, Insomniac, while the PlayStation Vita port is being handled by Tin Giant. The PS3 version will be released on November 27th and the Vita version is now slated for release in January 2013.

To make up for the delay, Sony will offer the first piece of DLC for the game, the Mini-Boss Skin Pack, for free. The pack will feature three boss characters from previous Ratchet & Clank games.

Despite the delay, Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault remains a cross-buy game, which means that buying it on the PlayStation 3 will get you the Vita version for free.

…….. why would they delay a vita game ???

    • Presumably because it isn’t done yet.

  • this is what im talking about, i was really looking forward to this!!

Still super glad I don’t have to bother importing Q-Force from Europe for a retail copy. Yay~ shame it’s delayed on Vita, but that’s not getting retail release anyway so meh.

Well, that sucks. I was going to be playing it almost exclusively on my Vita. It sounds strange, I know, but I just don’t have the time to sit down and play console games anymore. It makes me sad, but thankfully my Vita keeps me entertained. Still, the fact that it remains free despite the delay is cool. Therefore, I will not cancel my reservation!
