4Gamer have shared another of their lengthy play videos, this time for Atelier Totori Plus for the PlayStation Vita, which is slated for release later this month. Check out ten minutes of footage from the Vita port below:
Atelier Totori Plus will be released on November 29th in Japan. New to the Vita version are new party members, DLC from the PS3 version, and new outfits and alchemy recipes.
Will Totori get her own battle theme song???
I always bash Gust’s games with their graphics being higher resolution PS2 games. Even though this is a port though, the game pushing the same graphics on the Vita changes my perspective.
I’m still not a fan of their games, but it’s actually taking advantage of the hardware, so I’ll just come out and say it’s a very good looking Vita game. PS3, not so much.
I like the character models, but the animation is usually pretty bad…
Well, Ayesha’s animation is more smooth and nice, the only problem with it is that they either need to lip sync or go back to the “old” way of doing their event scenes.
The character models for the ateilier games were never high resolution ps2 games though. The environments though yeah those could be high res ps2 graphics but the models nope.
Honestly, that’s the part that bothers me about Atelier games, really great character models, low resolution backgrounds. It kinda doesn’t look right together.
All this does is remind me that I’ve never played any of the ps3 ones, or the last ps2 one D:
I really do hope this will be translated….
im sure it could be released in english since its basicly the ps3 version portable plus some new stuff
Looks great! Can’t wait to finally carry Atelier goodness wherever I go with my Vita…..that I don’t have. Stupid college loans.
Given the nature of the Atelier games, they definitely seem like the type of games that would be more enjoyable on a portable. Especially one that can display their gorgeous character models :)
Ｌｏｌｉｃｏｎ ａｒｏｕｎｄ ｔｈｅ ｗｏｒｌｄ ｒｅｊｏｉｃｅ！Nah, jk, looks like a great, expanded port. A shame they started with the middle part of a trilogy but maybe the other two will follow if interest is high enough, which it shall be I assume.
the graphic is superb! US PLEASE!!
