Murder on the Titanic is an upcoming hidden object mystery game for the Nintendo 3DS, scheduled for release via the Nintendo eShop next month. It takes place on the Titanic in 1912, with you playing as the assistant to a globetrotter named Professor Jacob Larsson.

On April 14th—that happens to be the day before the Titanic’s sinking—the ship’s captain requests Larsson’s help in solving the mystery behind a stoker’s body, which is discovered onboard.

Murder on the Titanic will be released on December 6th for $7.99. The game will have six chapters in total, with hidden object mini-games to push things forward.

If anyone is interested the game got a retail release of both the DS and 3DS in Europe. Not a bad game if you enjoy the odd splash at Hidden object genre.

Personally I find them relaxing in between other titles. Especially if I’ve played something really heavy.

So it’s a murder mystery with a time limit?

Of course, this does raise the question as to whether or not the captain will even care about your findings once the ship starts to sink.
