Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition Returns With Improvements And New Content

Overhaul Games have released a trailer for Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, a new version of the game for the PC, iPad and Android tablets with a new quest, new characters and the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion. Watch it below:



Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition will hit the PC and iPad on November 28th. An Android release date hasn’t been announced yet. The game runs on an improved version of the Infinity Engine specifically optimized for tablets.

  • I was watching the trailer last night, and had a tough time getting excited about this version of the game.  I guess the wide screen is nice, but that and the other changes made to the game don’t justify a purchase for me.  I’m perfectly happy with my standard version of the game.  Tablet support is alright, I suppose, but since I don’t have one it isn’t really a consideration.

    I do wonder if this will be worth buying if I still have my old Baldurs Gate boxset in perfectly working order… it would be if I wanted it on the go, but I don’t think I’m inclined that way.

    I love these games, but I can’t play this because I already own them. Here’s me hoping a new generation of gamers get into BG as we once did.
