Silent Hill: Book of Memories Crawls To Japan In February

Silent Hill: Book of Memories is out in North America, but Japan doesn’t have the game yet. Konami have finally announced a release date for the Japanese version though—Book of Memories will be released on February 14th in Japan.

Silent Hill: Book of Memories isn’t the kind of Silent Hill game you’re used to. Konami got WayForward Technologies to develop a 4-player top-down shooter with RPG elements.

The retail version of the game will cost 5,980 yen while the download version will cost 5,480 yen.

I’d hardly call it a “top-down shooter”, it’s more of a “dungeon crawler” if it’s anything, with randomly generated stages, weapons that have durability, a magic system, character customization, trap tiles, equipment…

I kinda looked at a preview of the game and it seemed like more than that. It almost seems like the story changes based on what you do in the game.
