Marvel Heroes MMO Beings With A Supervillain Prison Breakout

Marvel and Gazillion Entertainment have shared a developer diary for their upcoming Marvel Heroes MMORPG. The diary focuses on the game’s story, which is being penned by Brian Michael Bendis. Take a look at it below:

Gazillion Entertainmen aren’t being shy with the Diablo comparisons, as they call Marvel Heroes a game with the “core gameplay elements of Diablo” combined with the heroes from the Marvel Universe. This isn’t just some coincidence, though—Gazillion’s president, David Brevik, was the founder of Blizzard North, who worked on Diablo and Diablo II.

Welp all of /co/ just dropped this game

    • William Carpenter

With good reason, he’s an awful comics writer, but I dunno… this game looks pretty interesting. I love the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance games, so a F2P Marvel Diablo sounds pretty good to me. They seem to have a pretty good character roster, too.

Hah! I saw his name and kind of grimaced, hoping that was not the name I was seeing. So torn. . . Cool sounding gameplay, but bad writing. . .

typo in the tittle Beings i assume it’s begins.

  • That’s some bad voice acting and cheesy one liners but I guess it’s to be expected. It looks fun, unfortunately my PC is junk and I’m not upgrading it anytime soon.

  • Crevox

Voice acting isn’t all that great… wolverine for example sounded pretty flat. Shrug, hopefully it will be alright.

Spider-Man is best friends with Johnny Storm. How the deuce have they had minimal interactions with one another?

    • William Carpenter

That really bothered me too. Let’s just hope whoever was editing the video made a mistake and cut in the wrong footage.

  • Lazulis

I see Deadpool. I’ll give it a try at best. If my crappy laptop can handle a test drive…

    I’m intrigued.
