SNK def needs to start working on new games. They need a facelift or something. I mean this is sorta cool and all but…..not really since most SNK fans have these games playable anyway on other systems

    • Godmars

So long as they’re those types of games and not anything modern.

  • Wow… What else can I say other than to say that Nintendo has pulled a “Vlad The Impaler” on my wallet. And let me tell you, it was as graphic as you can possibly imagine!

  • ArinoSeb_GccxQc

On the forums they say it’s delayed to dec.20… Don’t know who to trust about the launch date…

    • 324234

Probably Tommo. The people that say dates past the 18th are quoting their DELIVERY dates, not the launch date. Amazon made their emails a little confusing by only mentioning the estimated delivery date is all.

That’s surprising, an HD system which comes with an HD cable.

    • neo_firenze

      WiiU comes with one.

  • Price cut!

  • Sadly, the system has been delayed until 12/18.

I was really hyped about this at first, but haven’t heard a single word from these guys about any support post-release. We’ve heard that it *can* play titles off MicroSD cards and that it *does* support game cards ala Ninja Masters, but we haven’t actually heard any further word on what the company selling this will offer us afterwards.

I feel like I shouldn’t have to rely on and hope for peeps to crack/mod if we want anything more than the initial offerings. :C

It already sounds like it’s running off a Neo Geo emulator. The working game list sounds too familiar and suspect

Not quite sure where you heard that the NEOGEO X will play games off of Micro SD cards, but that is incorrect. There will be additional games on NEOGEO X Game Cards released post launch. I am also trying to get them looking into creating some sweet game cases too. Can’t promise anything, but I’m definitely trying to fight the good fight. :)

Any idea of the pricing or possible games for future game cards? One game per card, or are multiple games on a card a possibility?

And for my two cents, I’d be very interested to see Neo games outside of the older games or early series entries that have been re-released time and time again. Some of the stuff that’s been less ported to death – things like Sengoku 2, Eight Man, Shock Troopers 2, Mutation Nation, King of the Monsters 2, Crossed Swords, Ultimate 11, Top Hunter, Stakes Winner 2, Super Fu’un Tag Battle… there’s such a rich library to choose from. And instead of the early entries in the big name fighting game series and Metal Slug, some of the later ones would be nice to see – we’ve seen tons of ports of Art of Fighting 1, Fatal Fury, and Samurai Shodown, but not much like Art of Fighting 3, Real Bout 2, or KOF ’99 and newer.

Ninja Masters is a good start, seems like a nice pick for a game to be showcased on a separate card. Great game that a lot of people may not have played because it hasn’t been ported excessively already.

I’m excited to get my pre-ordered system, hope there is some nice follow-through on additional releases. And if not… well, I still have my trusty AES collection ;)

      • Oh man, little hard cases would be awesome. Half the fun of getting this system is replicating the gear. If the games came in little repro AES cases, I wouldn’t mind it raising the price a little bit.

David please don’t forget The King Of Fighters 94,96,97,98,99,00,01,02,03
I’m the first who will buy them all Promise
        Please let me know

Hi guys, the NEOGEO X GOLD Limited Edition will be released later this month, and online retailers are selling out of the Limited Edition fast!

  • MasterHiei

only 20 roms? for two hundred bucks?

They should have stuffed that with at least 50 to validate that price

    • 324234

You realize that you aren’t paying the $200 just for roms, right?
It’s $130 for the handheld, $50 for the controller (the other $30 in the bundle goes to the Dock and cables, with Ninja Master’s as a bonus).
