Pokémon Developer’s Rhythm Hunter: Harmo Knight Is Headed To The West

By Ishaan . December 5, 2012 . 9:35am

Pokémon developer, Game Freak, recently released an original Nintendo eShop game for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan. Rhythm Hunter: Harmo Knight is a rhythm platformer where you automatically run through stages and need to jump and attack enemies to make your way to the end of each stage.

Rhythm Hunter: Harmo Knight is headed to the U.S. next, Nintendo of America announced today. No further details have been announced, such as price or release date, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more information.

Meanwhile, Europe does have a release window for Harmo Knight—the game will be released in Europe in March 2013.

The only good thing of the direct (aside of the release date for fire emblem awakening)

  • Shadowman

    YES! Day one buy.

Music to my ears. Cannot wait for this to be released.

Awkward choice to announce this instead of PKMN Mystery Dungeon 3DS.

It’s an older game, plus it’s more exciting to me, personally.

I’d rather hear about Mystery Dungeon.

But I’m sure we’ll get it anyway. So it’s nice to know this is coming.

I’m pretty sure, too. A somewhat big Pokémon title not coming out outside of Japan? Come on.

Awesome! This looked a bit like Theatrhythm, which I LOVED, so I’ll pick this one up ASAP! This is the one I was waiting for since it’s Japanese announcement. Great news!

Wow…and I just learned about it not more than a couple of days ago because I was late to the party about its announcement months ago. Ironically I found it off Imakuni’s Twitter, if you’ll believe that (he had an image of it).

    Definitely getting it.

Neat. Have to admit I am curious about this game. Have Game Freak done ANY other game but Pokemon games? None comes to mind, so seeing what they can do when “freed” from Pokemon will if nothing else be interesting.

    • Neophoton

They did Pulseman on Genesis and Click Medic on PS1 many moons ago. Aside from that, can’t remember anything else.

Have to admit that after checking these games out, I am pretty darned
intrigued by them. If this is the kinda pedigree they have when tackling
stuff outside Pokemon, I am well and truly engaged in the prospect of
        this game.
