Konami have released a batch of new screenshots for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate. The new screens show Trevor fighting off various enemies that are in the game, and you can take a look at them below.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate will hit Europe in March 2013. North America doesn’t have an official release window yet, but both GameStop and Amazon in the U.S. have the game listed for a March release, too.

is me or it looks more polished than in previous screenshots?

Personally I think that the delay is going to worth the wait, the first build looked very jaggy, but this screenshots and the halloween trailer (in which the action appear to be faster than the e3 build) have restored my faith in this game, i can’t wait for the release (march 5 for NA according to the newest trailer in gametrailers).

    • This screenshots looks more beautiful than the old ones. But I still want a 2D Castlevania T_T

Same here, but I will give this the benefit of the doubt. But still I hope that the next castlevania returns to the metroidvania formula (order of ecclesia was a prove that this formula is really awesome)

From my own personal experience with 3DS, i know that screenshot quality should always been taken with a grain of salt as the quality is always so misleading.

However, if they can improve it further, i am sure going to enjoy this game.^_^

I cant believe this game is only on 3DS that really sucks from konami. Why not release it on Vita as well.

    • Well, historically the Castlevania series has been mostly on Nintendo consoles, especially in the handheld arena. The PSP only saw one Castlevania game compared to three on the DS, and it was a remake.

      Here’s an advice: don’t beg.

When this game comes out, I’ll be buying the DS titles instead. You can’t beat the quality of those metroidvania games on handheld. imo.

All I hope for is that it runs smoothly. All those fancy effects don’t mean a thing if the framerate suddenly stutters while I’m doing a death-defying leap towards the next platform.
