Square Enix have prepared a new trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, which was presumably meant to be debuted in coordination with the Jump Festa event in Japan. A certain website accidentally broke embargo and ran the trailer publicly, following which a resourceful fan grabbed the video and uploaded it to YouTube before it was pulled. Check it out below:
As previously reported, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII takes place several years after Final Fantasy XIII-2, in a completely new setting. In the game, the world is set to end in 13 days. Players need to manage a clock system, where every action they perform uses up time from the clock.
Characters in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII all go about their own schedules, and depending on what time of day it is, you encounter different events, even on subsequent playthroughs.
