Release full game at launch, – release demo a month later.

You think it would’ve been better for them to release a demo of ZombiU on launch and the game a month later? I dunno. The game was set to be a launch title.

Anyway, the demo is for people who didn’t get it on day one and/or are still on the fence about buying it. So its not as weird as you think.

This is EXACTLY what I needed. I’ve been on the fence about ZombiU this entire time because I’m not sure if I would enjoy a true survival horror game since I’ve only played survival action like RE4. This will give me a good idea if I do or not.

There was little survival in RE4. And that’s basically all there is in ZombiU. Its a survival horror game.

A bit of a warning: Despite its first person perspective, ZombiU is not a shooter. Yes, you use weapons here and there. But its not a shooter no more than the classic Resident Evil games where. I mean you also used weapons in those games. And like in those games, the ammo in ZombiU is scarce and limited. So you cannot go about shooting everything like in a typical Duke Nukem game

I say this because many go and try playing ZombiU like a shooter and they get disappointed when they realize its not a shooter. But its a survival game. Where every bullet counts.

That’s exactly why I was hesitant. Because I had heard not to expect a shooter but that’s all I’ve ever played. There is a possibility that I’m a survival horror nut deep down but I didn’t want to lay down $60 to be potentially disappointed. Now that it’s a free demo, I can test the waters safely and be able to tell if I can enjoy a survival horror.

Wow, THAT Ninja Masters? Been a long while since I first tried it in an old carnival arcade… maybe I’ll check it out once it drops.
