Team Ninja have uploaded another Dead or Alive 5 video to YouTube, using the upcoming version 1.03 patch feature to share video replays. The match shows La Mariposa vs. Hayate, and director, Yohei Shimbori, says you should be able to spot a few changes to both characters’ movesets during the fight:

The full list of changes for the version 1.03 patch will be released “soon”.

Why do I get the feeling that Hayate is going to be in Ninja Gaiden eventually?

    • David García Abril

Well, Kasumi finally got in, so he’s the next on the list. lol

His sword is used by Ryu in NG3, Jinran-Maru. If Ryu used that sort of blade to cut down airplanes, robots, fiends, chimeras etc, it seems to be quite special considering that we’ve never seen Hayate use the sword.
I hope to see him make a cameo of some sort.

    Waiting on vita collectors announcement.

I personally find the dodgy quality and being 360p-only a bit unimpressive… Here’s hoping the actual feature is going to enable the players to upload videos at 720p, or 480p at the very least.

    • Might it be a bandwidth issue? Just Cause 2 on PS3 also featured 360p clips only. As they have to be recorded while the game is running live at 6ofps I am still impressed they managed to pull that feature off at all.

      • Bloodios

That does make sense. Still, I would’ve like the quality to be at least a little better, as I personally find the quality of this 360p clip to be rather poor, even by YouTube standard.

        • I assume the issue of the clip linked is not just physical resolution (it’s one quarter of the native picture, after all) but bit rate as well. This looks rather poor, I agree. I guess they will improve that feature as time passes.

Would be nice if they improved the sub-par netcode as well.

Ah, I thought that was Zhao Yun in the front page’s picture, haha.
