waste of publising money and time

  • OH MY GOD.I was thinking that namco bandai has forget how to publish game in the West. But good for motocross fans.

  • Spirit Macardi

As someone who frequently points out dumb things that Namco does, I can say that I don’t think this is one of them. In fact, if done correctly, it could be a rather smart move.

A lot of Namco’s most beloved properties are sadly niche titles here in the west, so they don’t see much financial return. However, by publishing games like this that have more mainstream appeal they can get money to fall back on so they can still bring over games like the Tales series.

Now whether or not they’ll actually do this is up in the air, but it’s at least it’s a possibility for the time being.

    • Yeah but i didnt know they were publishing this kind of games. It’s MYSTERY.

    • ddh819

i think motorcycle racing games are kind of a niche product.

      • Spirit Macardi

Certainly not as much as their other games. There’s generally going to be more people in the US interested in playing a motocross racing game than cell-shaded RPGs or even fighting games.

Friendship Is Magic motocross world championship? :P

    • Locklear93

No, because I’d actually buy that. <_< Dibs on Rarity.

I saw the joke and i took it…i’m sorry. -.-

  • benhofb

Meh.Another potentially interesting vita title I’m going to skip because it is download only. I am still pissed about EDF. I want boxes to put on my shelf!

  • benhofb

  • ShindoW

And here’s why no Tales or Digimon games…

  • brian yep

    My lil motorcycle.
I’d be interested in this if it were moe-ized/cartoony.
    But naw.

  • Elvick

    *reads Vita*
    “Hmm, mayb..”
    “Oh, never mind.”

I hope they don’t try to charge full retail for a digital only release on Vita. That shit is ridiculous and needs to stop. If you’re not going to do any physical production, then it should be cheaper than retail games. Not the same price as those who put in the money to provide retail options to consumers.

  • I like motocross games. When done right they’re fun. However, since this one is already out in Europe I decided to look up some of the reviews and it’s not sounding like it’s that great of a game. So I’m not sure how well this will do for Namco Bandai, I still might check it out on Steam if the price point is right but if it’s $40 plus it will probably get a pass from me.
