Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan is just over a month from release in North America, and today, Atlus highlighted another of the game’s character classes—the Dancer, who has the ability to provide party buffs among other specialities:

Etrian Odyssey IV will be released on February 26th. Atlus’ next RPG after that will be Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers, which is due out on April 16th.

Great start of the new year with Etrain 4 and Soul Hackers! We love you Atlus and please some info on P5 would be appreciated :-D

Do these games have any story?

    • AkuLord3

      ummm yeah they do

    • Zeik56

They do, especially 3, but it’s not the driving force of the game. It’s all about descending deeper and deeper into the labyrinth. The story is just kind of there to give you a reason to do so.

Hmm, I didn’t know 3 had more plot, guess I get to playing it and EO2 some more (only beat EO1)

But still, I agree, these games are awesome, but the plot isn’t really what inspires you to play on. It’s just kinda there to give the characters a motive. For the player, it’s about reaching the next floor, fighting the next boss, and avoiding a physical assault from the local FOEs.

What is Maya (DQIV) doing in that game?

  • riceisnice

    Spring is gonna be sweeet~

  • KuroNathan

I wonder if we’ll get the TP song back, I missed it from EO I

    • AkuLord3

      TP song?

      • KuroNathan

it was a buff that regenerated party TP, very useful but its understandable as to why they took it out. 30 free TP? awesome.

        • AkuLord3

who knows maybe, i’m not sure of all the things dancers have in this…they have a Tp reduce move so close enough?

          • Barrylocke89

I kinda hope they don’t have the Relaxing skill again (TP regen. That move was amazing…a little too amazing, to be honest. Once you got it high enough, you really extended the lengths of your dungeon forays and if you were really cheap, you could get into fights and wait it out until your tp is at max.

            TP reduction seems less cheap.

          • KuroNathan

I was really cheap. Really really cheap as in go back to the first floor and relax by the flowers for a free tp restore a day cheap.

  • Lord Highawesomeparty

This looks like a pretty awesome game. I haven’t played any of them before and I’ve been following news on this for a while. Are all of the games connected, or is it kinda like Persona or Disgaea where there’s nods to past games but that’s it?

    • Zeik56

Even less than that, they’re all self-contained adventures.

Well there are some very minor references to EO1 if you import your clear data into EO2, but it’s only stuff like “You’re that veteran guild from that other place? Cool.”

  • Barrylocke89

Buffs. Shin Megami Tensei teaches me that buffs are always useful.

I’ll recruit YOU on my team, Dancer!
