    Let me guess……
    10 mario games
    Zelda (please!)

  • Ooh Bee

Team Ninja working on a new Metroid where you only use ZSS and it has cameos by the DoA and NG girls plus incredible jiggly physics LET’S GO.

    Or Mario Badminton.

  • kylehyde

I hope that they really reveal new games and not just show for 10th time lego city undercover. For that reason I will keep my hype low.

    • $39420547

same here,i want to get hype but i know better…
deep inside i can’t help it and want to be wrong and get super hyped

  • PhilliesFlyers89

Hopefully its that rumored new Yoshi game. I feel as though something like “Zelda” or a 3D Mario would be saved for E3. It could just be release dates and such.

    • TheRealMalek

Hoppefully, it’s something new not from nintendo, but i don’t have a lot of hopes on this one :p

      • nirvana123

        maybe retro studios game

        • Farid Belkacemi

That, Sir, is the E3 MEGATON ! :D

  • zferolie

Slight correction: Nintendo haven’t explicitly said “new” Wii U games,
just “upcoming Wii U titles”. This probably means we’ll hear more about
games like The Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3.

Well, that is not as exciting. Sure, I want to hear about those games, but announce some new ones!

    • Re-re-correction: Nintendo UK says new games as well.

      • zferolie

Ah, I spoke to soon then. Nintendo needs to be more clear, haha

  • veruses

    How about F-Zero?… plz?…

    • PABLO Rapetti Perez

Not likely, but one can only dream :)

  • The pattern I’ve noticed with these Nintendo Directs is that it starts of with things we already know or don’t really care about, and finish up with something of worthwhile in the end (Like Fire Emblem last time). Although I wish the entire thing could be interesting, that final announcement usually makes them worth the watch.

  • PABLO Rapetti Perez

Give me a new Star Fox game developed by Hideki Kamiya (Devil May Cry, Bayonetta) who expressed interest in making such a game and I will have the king of all Gamegasms!

    • Spirit Macardi

Woah, I never knew about that! Yeah, I could see that man doing some wondrous things with the series. If he was in charge, I think people would no longer mind the on-foot parts from games like Dinosaur Planet and Assault.

    • Kamiya is already working on Wonderful 101.

      • Farid Belkacemi

But Wonderful 101 is probably finished by now. Time to do some barrel roll :p

  • Aaronrules380

Actually, it HAS been confirmed that new games will be revealed. From Nintendo UK twitter “Mr Iwata will reveal new games for #WiiU in a new #NintendoDirectEU at 2pm GMT on 23/01.”

    • Rrrrargh, they keep saying different things everywhere. OK, I’ll update the post again! Thanks for the heads up.

      • Pockystix

it’s like they know when you post

  • Spirit Macardi

I’m certainly hyped! I only have three Wii U games currently (Super Mario Bros. U, Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed, and Nintendo Land) so it’ll be nice to see some more content for it.

I’m hoping with all my heart for something new from Metroid, since I love the entire series so much. Even the much maligned Other M.

  • AlteisenX

Hoping its something that piques my interest. I’m not very intrigued by the Wii-U and what I’ve heard and seen so far. Hope the Upcoming games list improves, I really don’t want to see another 3DS launch in my life again.

  • SirRichard

So is that new new games, or new games as in ones not released yet but already known?

    • Both, by the sound of it, but I’m willing to bet anything that one of the new games will be Resident Evil: Revelations.

  • Go2hell66

    Smash bros. Reveal please!

    • zferolie

As much as I would love that, I don’t expect any news of that till E3 or another game show.

  • ronin4life

I’m bad with time-zones… are they simultanious?

  • Eric Harris

Hopefully it’s some exciting stuff. 3DS is already flowing with titles like Luigi, Animal Crossing, Pokemon, and more. We need to see atleast 1 or 2 big awesome WiiU games shown to be coming out later.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

    ……I’m Reggie for the news

While I am looking forward to seeing what Iwata will announce tomorrow, I’ll keep my expectations low so it’ll be easier to surprise me.

  • Oh hey, there’s a nice surprise. Hope they reveal some games that are actually worth getting excited about, and not just a bunch of destined-to-be-forgotten B-list titles.

  • Joe S

    Monolith Soft RPG please.

    • Kevin Tan

Incidentally, Soraya Sage, wife of the creator of Xenoblade, Tetsuya Takahashi, retweeted this Nintendo Direct :o Could it be?!!

      • Don’t get your hopes too high. Soraya just likes Nintendo and she’s retweeted them in the past as well. She is working on games at the moment but I don’t know if it’s on a Nintendo platform. (Her last game was Soma Bringer for DS)

        • Kevin Tan

Didn’t she only retweet Nintendo Directs 3x in total? One of which made actual mention that Monolith was working on a Wii-U game?

          • Yeah, but that wasn’t the only one she retweeted. :P

I’d love for us to hear details on Soraya’s next project but let’s not get hopes up too high, heh.

  • gsnap

New games you say? Hmm.. I wonder what kind of new games they would reveal months before E3? Lesser games no doubt, but still, I’m excited.

    • $29082171

      I don’t remember Bayonetta 2 or MH3G’s localization being revealed at E3.

      • gsnap

Well, Bayonetta 2 was revealed right after E3 (like the day after, so the press was still in E3 mode). And I don’t remember when MH’s localization was revealed, but revealing a localization isn’t nearly as big a deal as revealing an all new game.

Either way, my point isn’t that only big games are revealed a E3, my point is that we’re very far away from E3. In my memory big games are revealed at or around E3. As in, within a month. Not in January. So I wouldn’t be expecting a 3D Mario, Metroid, Smash, or Zelda to be revealed.

But then again, they just revealed Pokemon X/Y, so who knows what they’re gonna do? I guess they’re just unpredictable.

        • $29082171

Uh, Bayonetta 2 was revealed on September 13th, that’s…3 whole months after E3. MH3U was revealed on the same day.

          • gsnap

You’re right, that’s my bad. I got the Wii U preview event mixed up with the after E3 3DS showcase.

Still, I’m keeping my enthusiasm in check.

  • $39420547

i bet one of those titles is wii u fit, i hope the other ones are more interesting

  • Settsuo

Please even if majority of the content is Wii U based, give us a solid 100% undeniable release date for Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Every time I go into gamestop and see that 5/1/2013 date on the box I cry….

  • Herok♞

hopefully they give us something for Feb since nothing comes out until march.

  • Bunzi

    I predict…

seven minutes of reminiscing about Nintendo’s previous consoles, than 4 of actual news regarding the Wii U.

    • ronin4life

I heard it will be 30 min though.

    • The other 19 minutes will be Wonderbook for Wii U.

  • Solace Shimizu

If they announce SSB4 the world would not be able to contain its awesomeness and blow up like planet Zebes.

    • Tails the Foxhound

And Dark Aether, and Phaaze, and SR388, and the Bottle Ship, and the BSL Resarch Station.

      • Solace Shimizu

        But what about Tallon IV?

        • Tails the Foxhound

          Tallon IV didn’t blow up.

          • Solace Shimizu

It’s only a matter of time before Samus goes back there and blow it up after ENGAGING RIDLEY MOTHER FUCKER or something.

  • CrazyAnimalCrosser

How about a release date for ANIMAL CROSSING gets announced!
