Pre-Order Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers For An Arranged Soundtrack CD

By Ishaan . January 25, 2013 . 1:41am

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers has an early buyer bonus. Atlus are including an arranged soundtrack CD with a limited number of copies from select retailers in North America and Canada. The CD will come with newly-arranged versions of the game’s music.

Soul Hackers will be released on April 16th in North America. The game will be available both at retail and as a Nintendo eShop download. Pre-ordering is your best bet at grabbing the limited edition with the soundtrack CD.

For the 3DS version of the game—Soul Hackers was originally released for Sega Saturn in Japan—Atlus have included voice-acting, faster battles, the ability to change difficulty setting mid-dungeon, new demons and more.

Oh, FFS, now I’ll have to buy it in North America just to get this wonderful CD!

  • Detrimont

c’mon, announce it for PAL regions already

  • Marcelo Gouvea

Nothing like the good ol’ soundtrack CD to get people hyped. It’s a shame I can’t pre-order it, but I hope people who can get a kick out of it.

Y’know, that reminder about voice-acting makes me wish Atlus would post an English voice-acted trailer. I’d really like to know who’s in this.

(and if you who’s reading this post is thinking about answering with “lol wendee lee ‘cuz she’s in everything”, don’t. That joke is old. Let it die.)

    • How about Cristina Vee? Johnny Yong Bosch? Yuri Lowenthal? Vic Mignogna? :P

      • LynxAmali

Vic-Whatever-his-last-name-is, no thank you. I’ll be hearing Raven whenever the character speaks. That’s not a bad thing mind you.

The first three, I’m okay with. THE BOSCH needs to be in everything. Forever.

    • Who’s in practically every Atlus game? It’s not a long list.

  • Being Atlus – who knows when it comes to europe, since Atlus doesn’t seem to believe that euro regions exist hahaha!
I expect it to come 6 to 18 months after April

  • Davos

Hope it will soon be announced for PAL regions!

    Damn region lock ~~

    • JMaster3000

I am not so satisfied with it tbh so i don’t care if its gonna get a release date in EU.
I’ll rather wanna see SMTIV to be released.

  • Tales_of_Master

……………*Pre-Orders* Oh wait I already did that a month ago XD

  • SolidusSnake

Awesome. Like most Atlus games, Soul Hackers has really kick ass music. Love how Atlus US hooks us up with goodies like this!

  • Yay I was wondering if there would be a bonus.

  • Barrylocke89

IMPORTANT POINT TO MAKE: If it’s a boxed set, then it’s almost certainly not a pre-order bonus, but rather a first edition bonus.

Of course, pre-ordering is the best way to ensure that you actually get the bonus, but I make this point if you’re someone (like myself) who wasn’t planning on getting this game immediately after it comes out. Just remember that you’re taking the risk if you wait, because, y’know, Atlus games.

    • Yup, that’s what it is. I didn’t think the distinction was super important since they say that soundtrack copies will be limited, so pre-ordering is likely the only way you’re going to be able to find one, but you’re right in that it’s worth mentioning. Post updated!

Just a question; are we no longer counting Canada as North America?

  • JazzWithAttitude

The Soundtrack cover is better than the game cover…

  • Oooo, nice. Probably getting this anyway, so might as well preorder.

  • personablaze

So I guess P2EP is a dream for Us P2 fans :( *sigh* oh well

Anyway, this looks pretty good,Definitely gonna pre order…after I get money cause I’m broke thanks to the fire emblem 3ds bundle xD

    • ShindoW

Really regretting that I sold my P2:EP copy… I was sure they would bring both parts over. What a shame… :(

    • fds_nextdart

Only way it could come over is as digital only to try to profit some with the PSV. But when you look at it that way, it hardly justifies the cost of localization~.

    • LightZero

While it would be ironic for us not to get EP this time around, I do think it will be brought over in some way. They will likely do a PSN release of the PSP or PS1 version. Of course Atlus could always fit both IS and EP on cartridge for the 3DS and sell it that way.But that’s scenario is unlikely.

  • Eric Harris

No thanks. Every time I order from amazon an atlus game it arrives damaged, then the replacement arrives damaged. I’ll just order 10 copies from my distributor and sell the rest. It’s what I’ve been forced to do with atlus’ bad customer service. They don’t even offer replacement cases.

    • HilariousNPC

Why would Atlus send you a replacement for something that Amazon damaged? You might as well be complaining to Nintendo. You bought it from Amazon, Amazon replaces it.

    • raymk

If you order from amazon that has nothing to do with atlus especially if something is damaged or stolen.

  • ShindoW

I like the CDs, but it’s kinda old. Guess NISA spoils me with their Premium Editions. :p

  • CamulaHikari

    Pre-ordered! :D

  • puchinri

I wonder how many tracks are going to be on that soundtrack through. If it’s just a handful, I may pass on pre-odering, but I still can’t wait to play the game~.

  • Placed my pre-order yesterday :)
