Capcom Arcade Cabinet will allow you to change aspect ratio options, access dip switch functionality across every game, play ever game in a “Casual Mode” if you aren’t feeling up to a challenge, post scores to leaderboards, unlock bonus features like audio tracks and flyers, and upload screenshots to Facebook (Xbox 360) and video to YouTube (PlayStation 3).

Capcom Arcade Cabinet will be made available on February 19th with Black Tiger available as a free game that comes along with it. Xbox 360 owners might want to read about a couple of issues unique to their system here (scroll to the bottom of the post).

Now give me ten good reasons, in essay form, why this isn’t also coming to Vita.

    no playstation plus discount?

    any trophies?

    • I hope so, but then again any game that came out after 2008 comes with trophies (although there are some exception like the SNK old school arcade games), but I hope this does have arcade.

The all-in-one package is really tempting.

For those who wanted it on X360 but don’t feel like scrolling down the post to see the problems:

-Black Tiger is yours free on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. However, those downloading on XBLA will only receive one credit, whereas PS3 users will have unlimited credits. 360 players will be able to play the entire game as much as they’d like, just without continues. Sorry about that, but it’s due to how different first party platforms distinguish demos and such.
-Xbox 360 users will need to purchase the discounted Game Pack 1 in order to access further Capcom Arcade Cabinet content and neither 1943 or Avenger will be available for individual purchase via XBLA. PS3 owners will have access to all of the titles individually in the Capcom Arcade Collection, and so will Xbox owners, with the sole exception of the two aforementioned titles. Again, apologies.
