By Ishaan . February 14, 2013 . 7:30am

Nintendo have announced release windows for a few Nintendo 3DS games in Europe. Here’s what Europeans can look forward to:

Fire Emblem: Awakening – April 19th.

Code of Princess – Spring

Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan – Spring

Additionally, Fire Emblem is getting an exclusive Nintendo 3DS XL bundle with the game pre-installed:

Nice to see Europe get some love. I just have one question. When are us Americans getting more copies of FE? I can’t find a single copy anywhere.

    • jello44

Best Buy has them in stock on their website.

  • Stewart Mogg

Last attempt to post a comment. I was just curious when America was getting more copies of FE. Here’s hoping Europe doesn’t have this problem.

  • Ayaka

    I cried with this Direct.
This article sums up more or less everything I wanted to hear, I hope the 3DS bundle will not suffer the weird price change providing 199$ = 199€

I don’t want to get a 3DS until there is some way to circumvent the regional lockout and I wasn’t sure whether I should get Awakening beacuse the amount of DLC milking puts me off.

But now Nintendo decides to release a Europe exclusive 3DS XL bundle! And the 3DS is in my favourite XL colour, too! Now I will be trapped between the will to follow through with my decision and the temptation to change my mind and get this bundle!

    • Suicunesol

Get Awakening. It’s good. Forget about the DLC. You don’t need that.

    • Herok♞

The DLC is really tame, its just stuff for long time fans and people who want to gold or EXP grind, the additional stuff that matters is free dlc, that would make no sense to have in the story.

  • porkiewpyne

Now I am torn between this and the Monster Hunter bundle. If this had been full black with that insignia, I’d go for this in a heartbeat but….. TT^TT

  • Go2hell66

looking forward to that code of princess release :D

  • SirRichard

I wasn’t expecting much, maybe some release dates or something, but holy hell. There’s basically one big stream of 3DS games from March throughout the summer, and Etrian Odyssey IV is coming to Europe what

    • And they haven’t event talked about those third-party publishing deals yet. Now I’m really curious as to what those are.

      • SirRichard

Oh god, I had forgotten that Iwata teased those. This is going to be a very interesting year for Nintendo, definitely.

      • Tails the Foxhound

Hmm, I keep clicking, but it won’t upvote more than once? How can only one upvote possibly convey all of my yes?!

  • Somazu

I didn’t want to get another 3ds unless its an american one(because i already have a European one), but I might have to make an exception for this one

  • I love my 3DS XL (same colour as this) and I wanted it to have some nice pattern like the US 3DS FE bundle. So I decided to get my brother to trace the pattern on the US console and upscale it for the XL.
I only have this so far since the two dragon are pretty hard deal with. Might have to enlargen the dragon and cut off some section. Ho ho.

Anyway to the topic, at least we have a solid release date for the game. I went ahead and preordered the game from shopto now that I know there won’t be a special edition :(

  • Göran Isacson

Awww yiss, Code of Princess to Euro-land, I am officially excite about that. “Spring” is a little bit vague, but I can take vague if it means I get my hands on it in the first place.

    • Armane

I’m guessing late May for CoP/EO IV.

  • Prinnydoom

I already have a 3ds but i would buy this in a heart beat o_O

  • Ephidiel

    awesome release date
exactly 1 year after jpn release and 1 day before my birthday

  • fireemblembeast

Good for you guys, but damn it-how come US couldn’t get an XL bundle?! >:l
And usually, problem solved-just buy this from EU, but the region lock is there, so damn…
Oh well…time for me to check out today’s new DLC and swapnote for FE!
Since my school is closed from last Friday to this Friday because of the blizzard (and Monday being Presidents’ Day) I’ve been just playing FE13 since then because I got it last Wednesday! >:3
Happy Valentine’s day everyone! I hope everyone’s seen those FE13 valentine’s cards on nintendo’s Facebook page XD Check them out.

  • Lazulis

D’aw, I wanted a 3DS Awakening bundle for the US. Congrats to EU for getting it.

    • AnimusVox

We did. Or do you mean the 3DS XL one?

      • Lazulis

        3DS XL I mean

  • David García Abril

    Already… have… normal… 3DS…
    Must… resist…

  • So…who is publishing Etrian Odyssey IV? I know this may sound like a trivial question to some, but me and a friend of mine have this particular theory that Atlus hates Europe, and as such never ever publishes their games here.

So I actually find it hard that Atlus themselves are publishing the game in Europe lol.

  • Barrylocke89

Instead of grumbling about America not getting the XL version of the bundle, I’ll just congratulate you guys on getting EOIV soon, especially since 2 and 3 never officially made it over there.

    …*walks away grumbling*.

  • Oltheros

I can appreciate Europe getting a better bundle because they waited longer, but if they were going to print these XLs, couldn’t they make some for North America while they’re at it?

Europe also gets a nice all-black box that Japan got, the reflection effect on the NA box was just ugly.

And of course Japan is the only region to get a physical copy of the game in the bundle.

    Nintendo, standardize your frikin’ things.

  • Welp, time to buy a 3DS.

  • Kai2591

Would’ve been sweet if the US FE:A 3DS bundle was an XL as well (I would certainly buy it) but oh well its not that big of an issue~

  • God yes! I was hoping for the XL bundle! April 19th, I’m marking you on my calendar!

  • dahuuuundge

that’s a fine looking XL, too bad 3DS is still regionlocked
