  • Flandre Scarlet

Maybe they’ll announce a price cut, if anything for those memory cards.

Also unrelated, but “Sony Computer Entertainment Japane’s”

  • XYZ_JolteonZ980

praying for killer apps like naruto shippuden ultimate ninja storm revival to be shown.

    • Solomon_Kano

      Killer apps like… nevermind.

I’ll just say, don’t count on a Naruto game for Vita just yet. Namdai’s keeping most of their anime licenses to PSP, with a few creeping over to 3DS. Project Versus J and Pirate Warriors 2 are gonna be it for now, Tsuna.

    • Agreed.

  • riceisnice

    This could literally be anything.

  • xAtKx

hopefully some awesome games along with a price drop for memory cards are announced

    • benhofb

Psh, yeah. Those damn memory cards costed me an arm and a leg.

      • Mine cost me a leg and an arm. :(

        • Robert Hendrie

          and your brother?

          • RovCal

            ha ha ha well said!

          • It took me a couple of minutes but I finally got the reference. lol

  • benhofb

I am praying for some more games to be announced. I was just talking with a friend a couple days ago about how there really isn’t too much I am pumped for Vita wise this year besides Soul Sacrifice, DoA, and Muramasa.

  • FlameEmperor

I better see some good games announced Sony, unless you want the 3DS to get all my money.

  • Eliézer Dos Santos

    Sony Direct?

    • Ethan_Twain

Yep, absolutely. One can only hope they have a lineup of software to show off to compete with this last week’s 3DS Nintendo Direct. I’m sure the entire internet will be keeping score :)

    • RovCal

Thank God they learning from there competition.

  • LexKitteh

I’m hoping (probably in vain) for Final Fantasy X HD news, or Type-0 Vita edition announcenent :D

    • benhofb

I second that. Squeenix did say that FFX HD news was coming “soon”, so hopefully.

  • Persona V

  • Brandonmkii

Booooo, don’t feel like staying up way late to watch this. Hope it’s some good stuff!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! GRAVITY DAZE(RUSH) 2!!!!!! i really need that game :3!!!!!!!!!!!

  • heartless141

c’mon sony, bring us something good along the line of MH (depends on how soul sacrifice goes, i might change my opinion on this) or persona :D

  • Solomon_Kano

I’m not gonna hope for anything too out there, but it’d be nice to see something original from SE. Original simply meaning a game that isn’t on PSP or PS3. I don’t care if it’s a new IP, a sequel, or what, I’d just like to see something. A Capcom game would be nice too.

Let’s see what we end up with.

  • Ethan_Twain

Okay, here are some actually reasonable predictions:

    1. Final Fantasy X HD will be shown. That’s probably the biggest Vita game we know about being developed in Japan right now.

    2. From Software did some good work on PSP… I predict some form of Armored Core or Dark Souls announced for the Vita.

    3. Soul Sacrifice will be shown and given a large scale spotlight.

    4. Persona 4 Arena Vita. It makes too much sense – it’s the only Persona game not available on the hardware yet and Arc System Works has done this sort of conversion with BlazBlue before.

    • All perfectly reasonable predictions, I think with perhaps the exception of From. If Sony were to strike a deal for an exclusive game it would make more sense to do it on PS4, where it would have more of an impact. By themselves, I don’t know if From are all that interested in portables either.

      • Solomon_Kano

On top of making more sense to strike a deal for PS4, I don’t know what much a From game would do for Vita. The last Armored Core didn’t do exceptionally well and I can’t seen people rushing out for a portable Dark Souls.

More than that, I don’t know that From has people to spare. There’s the Dark Souls II team and the team led by Dark Souls’ director. If I recall, they’re working on a console game.

        • Yeah, portable Dark Souls/Demon Souls doesn’t make much sense either. I mean, it isn’t a co-op game and they’re already trying to push Soul Sacrifice as their Monster Hunter clone.

I do wonder what the team led by the original director is working on at From, though, yeah. It could really be anything. Another multiplat game. Or maybe Sony deciding to do something with that Demon’s Souls license. Or Nintendo with another collaboration, since they’ve been big on those.

          • Solomon_Kano

Considering Sony, they’re more likely to just sit on Demon’s Souls. Supposing they did want to do something with it, it would be pretty baffling if From had a team working on the sequel to Demon’s Souls’ spiritual successor while the director of Dark Souls did a a sequel to Demon’s Souls. Really baffling.

He said it would be something new, so a new IP. A collab with Ninty is a realistic possibility, but I’m betting on a new multiplat title.

          • Ethan_Twain

I’ve been thinking for a while that From Software fits exactly the profile of developer Nintendo has been targeting with their partnership deals. Small to mid sized independent Japanese developer that develops the kinds of games that Nintendo doesn’t themselves. Until now, I did not know that the director of Dark Souls was working on a secret console game project. It does fit though, especially with the project being completely secret (as all Nintendo affiliated projects are).

The only thing that doesn’t line up is that I don’t think From Software really has a history with Nintendo. But neither does Platinum, and they have two projects going already. Am I missing anything here? I feel like I’m onto something.

          • Solomon_Kano

Actually, Platinum kinda does have a history with Nintendo. Back when they were Capcom’s Clover Studio they developed Viewtiful Joe exclusively for Gamecube before Capcom made the decision to port. That springs to mind every time I see The Wonderful 101.

          • It does make sense, yeah. Like you said, From fit the developer profile that Nintendo appear to be interested in perfectly. Mid-sized company that’s known for being capable of delivering quality products with the right help.

Thing is, it makes even more sense for Sony to try and collaborate with them, but Sony haven’t really been very interested in Japan of late.

          • MogCakes

From may yet be working on a new title for Nintendo, who knows. However, I seriously doubt that any kind of partnership will arise with Ninty, because they’re already in one with Bandai Namco (one that I am not particularly fond of, I feel like Bamco is trying really hard to be friendly with them for Dark Souls’ profits). From seems to be pretty neutral towards any company, so perhaps we’ll see a Dark Souls or Armored Core on the Wii U in the future, but it won’t be in an exclusive deal.

          • I cant see them pushing it as a MH clone because it looks nothing like a MH

    • TheExile285

Persona 4 Arena wont be there. Atlus said they are not making one which sucks. FFXHD better be there and I kind of hope BB Chrono Phantasma gets announced for Vita

      • Ethan_Twain

I didn’t know Atlus had shut down the possibility of a Persona 4 Arena port. In that case yes, I think the next BlazBlue showing up on the hardware is totally plausible. Also… Street Fighter IV? I would believe it. SF IV 3D actually did pretty well for itself I know, and Capcom’s never one to turn away the opportunity to spread a single game across more platforms.

        • SFIV won’t happen. Sven has already said that that boat has sailed. Plus, I would imagine anyone that wanted SFIV already has it by now, either on PC, 360, PS3 or 3DS.

    • Solace Shimizu

What about God Eater 2? They better have a release date for that by now!

      • Yesshua’s talking about games we haven’t heard of or seen for a while since they were announced. No doubt God Eater, Soul Sacrifice and Tales of Hearts R will all be shown in some form.

        • And Project J Versus and Toukiden ?
Cant wait to see Toukiden gameplay

          • RovCal

ahem…………. ni no kuni vita? and dark cloud 3.. lemme dream.

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

Bout time. Nintendo puts out a showcase almost every 3 weeks, while Sony now puts one every 6 months…

In any case, it’s good to see they’ll bring out something. Now to see if they’ll bring whatever they show overseas. More RPGs plx.

    • There is this and then another one (about PS4) two days after. And yes RPGs!!!!!!!!!! <333

      • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

Well I’m thinking that the one on the 20th is more of a worldwide showcase, while this one may have some international announcements but definitely not guaranteed. We shall see…

        • This is about Japan Vita. The other is about PS4 being announced. But still they are right after each other… so… that was my point, not their content.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

I believe, Sony will give us more information on Soul Sacrifice, Project Discovery(Which we have no news for like how long?),Final Fantasy X HD, Super Robot Wars Vita,Sony’s new game on Boxes and their brain training game.

With that out of the way, I believe Sony will show their own game maybe 1 or 2 of them while they will also have some new game by third party group.^_^

    • Solomon_Kano

Project Discovery? What’s that supposed to be?

      • Handmade visual novel

        • Solomon_Kano

Oooh. When was that announced? I completely missed that.

  • $29082171

    FFX HD when?

  • Crevox

    Playstation Direct

  • Kefkiroth

So hyped. It’s been a while since Sony has focused on the Vita, if ever.

  • Lightthrower

Excellent! That means that they won’t talk about vita on the 20th and will focus only on the PS4, awesome!

  • Spider-Man

  • LustEnvy

Here is what I HOPE for: Streaming most PS3 games (Gaikai) on the Vita. Memory card prices go down to honest levels. MOAR GAEMZ. Price cut to $200.

  • Go2hell66

Cant believe i actually got hype for this

  • Dede Ogbe

To be fair well played by Sony. It gave it a price cut just before the release of major titles i.e Senran Kagura, PSO2, Soul Sacrifice and tales of heart r. Very smart move. This should give it a boost.

  • KHSoraKeyBlade

After some of the stuff Nintendo presented last week it’s going to take something pretty special for Sony to wow me. That said I’ll look forward to this and hope the Vita gets some good announcements.

  • Yuriangels

    can’t wait!!!!!!!!!

  • $29082171

    …Well that was dissappointing.

At least there was FFX HD after all.
