    So. Much. Want.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

That Elder Dragon in the end looks so boss.O_o

    • J_Joestar

That thing looks like it may be Raviente-class (even if it may be a bit smaller), really excited for it.

      • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

        Indeed.^_^ And……. JoJo is that you?^_^

        • J_Joestar

          *Does a Fabulous Pose*

  • Go2hell66

I really love MH, but all these silly mechanics like the jumping and the wyvern virus kind of take away from what little realism(i hope i’m using that word correctly) MH had left, i still really like this game but i liked it better when it was closer to a hunting sim, now it plays more like some kind of fantasy RPG

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

MH with realism? Since when does that happen?O.o

      • Go2hell66

lol what i’m trying to say is in the older games at least people weren’t jumping twenty feet in the air and and scaling mountains in a matter of seconds, the hunters just seem way too super human in this game.

        • Showmeyomoves

I don’t think climbing and jumping are considered super-human abilities. :p

          • Go2hell66

lol really? when you can jump that high and climb that fast?

          • An Tran

That wasn’t very high…besides…those swords and hammers are really huge and heavy. They’d have to be superhuman to carry and swing those around in the first place.

          • Kenneth

Remember, they are trained hunters as well, and the way they carry them (aside from on their backs) seem quite realistic to me. =/ The whole pole vaulting thing also seems slightly off (seeing how you can’t get every jump) but stays within the bounds of pole vaulters in the olympics.

        • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Well, when we have human who can withstand a dragon breath straight to the face, we know they are simply not normal human here.^_^

          • Go2hell66

well they have layers of armor made from the same scales of the very dragons that breath that fire so i wouldn’t say its impossible. jumping 20m in the air with 1ton greeatsword on your back? now thats impossible

          • Janken

We have been jumping off of waterfalls and cliffs, with no fall damage btw, for a while now. and now that they incorporate that in the battle mechanics “it doesnt feel right”. well if you have been swinging that huge sword for years i believe you could easily jump with it as well

    • riceisnice

Think of it this way, this game will be so hard, you’re going to NEED to jump and climb like a freaking tree monkey just to survive.

    • ShawnOtakuSomething

Looks like its going to kick your A$$……

    • Ferofax

At least it didn’t let you play as a plate armored knight that’s dashing about in midair and never needing to land, like it’s on perma-freeflow or something. This is not Dragonball.

  • gamerdude

God I wanna play this game so bad.
MH Tri is still really popular in europe so they do have a huge pool of customers here anxious to throw money at this thing. They just might make this the year of Ultimate though… and that’s cool I can’t wait to buy it too.

  • Pain777sev

Mixed feelings now. I don’t know why but the game looks old. The game just does not look like the best graphic dedicated portable game anymore. Climbing is cool but in MH…. I don’t know if you’ll ever even want to attempt it nor why you would unless they add tons of hazards. I just don’t think it looks good anymore.

    • Go2hell66

very true! just something about those textures. is it me or does MH3U actually look better than this game?

      • andreg4nov4

let me tell you something… the creation of the game is uncomplete
        they will refine the graphics

        • Go2hell66

maybe they will maybe they won’t but i think what were seeing now is what were going to get

        • Pain777sev

I don’t think there is much that they can do. I am being serious here I think this is the best that they can get right now. They do have several months but graphics are not going to get better or worse. They will be tweaking the gameplay probably.

      • An Tran

Textures are less in some areas (3G for 3DS had bad textures, too), but effects, shading and lighting are better. Areas are also bigger and more complex now.

      • Suicunesol

MH3U has a lot of loading screens though, doesn’t it? MH4 is supposed to have a larger explorable world with fewer loading screens, so I imagine the areas have longer draw distances… or something.

        • 4 has larger areas and loads much faster, yes. It also has much more diverse terrain that you can actually explore, which I would imagine eats into resources pretty significantly.

    • Ferofax

Devs are adding a lot of stuff. You can’t just add lots of stuff without something else taking a hit, especially if you want things balanced. I’m guessing they are enlarging areas, populating it more, and the best way to keep it all smooth is to reduce texture quality. At least, that’s how I see it. At least, for the moment.

This is not a console with much more room to work with. This is a handheld, the 3DS, with far, far less graphic capabilities than the powerhouse Vita. They are trying to fit everything plus adding lots of new awesome stuff into a tiny thing.

      Be reasonable, people.

    • Suicunesol

You should probably remember that the trailer is blown up out of proportion in comparison to what it’s actually going to look like on the 3DS.

Reduce the image size by about a half, or even a little more. It’ll look like that.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

Zombie Monsters, looks like it has a Story element and better body animations. This looks awesome! I hope this gets an wii-u port also

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

I believe it is going to come to Wii U if they wanted to penetrate Western market here. While it can take some time, i believe that is not a far fetched dream.^_^

    • An Tran

A 4G will probably be made for Wii U that takes advantage of the Wii U power instead of being a mere port.

  • MediaMindControl

I understand 3ds is the more popular system so I can see why capcom brought it to the 3ds. Still excited for this game. Graphics aside it will be wonderful. Seeing my Khezu armor using the new wand makes me wonder if they have redone all the armor skills. I’m sure there will be plenty of new abilities to enjoy. The new gameplay features also will add to the hunting experience.

  • Ethan_Twain

It amuses me just how much of a Monster Hunter trailer is showing the players getting mauled by these beasties. It’s definitely an accurate portrayal of my overall Monster Hunter experience, but not normally what I expect to see in a trailer :)

  • gamefreak86

Sexy. Ultimate will suffice for now, but I hope this comes over.

  • biskmater

Graphics need a little tweaking, but whether they fix them or not, I AM BUYING THIS GAME.

  • Eliézer Dos Santos

If someone really doesn’t want to play because of the graphics, you can always wait for some Ultimate version.

  • $39420547

i’ve been dreaming for a 3DS MH for a long time i really hope this makes it to the west

  • Marcus

    OMG @ that charge axe.

  • Captain_Jiruo

I might just have to buy a Japanese 3DS and import this if they don’t announce a localization soon.

  • I really don’t like the colors. Everything is brown in brown. : /

  • konsama

EPICNESS. No other word can be so fitting.

They really listened to what people wanted, armors that don’t look cartoonish are back, epic old monsters are back, new weapons, virus monsters, multiple villages, and they even improve the background graphics. EPIC.

  • this game looks wonderful! i cant wait to have at it!

  • J_Joestar

I am really wondering about the monster count of this game.
It would be fun if Giginox made it in too and they have a Giginox + Khezu mission. Also wondering how many Elders are gonna show up.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

I…..i would hate to see that nightmare.T_T Khezu itself is already a pain in the butt. With Giginox to the party, it is going to be nightmare.T_T

  • WyattEpp

Holy crap, the charge axe looks like a blast. The movement and attacks appear to have been refined — the gameplay systems seem like they’ll be pretty polished by the time it hits. And hey, that librarian glasses girl is cute, too!

Still…I wish the environments were better-looking. Monster Hunter deserves it. :(

  • Christopher Nunes

That was one kickbutt trailer… can we get it in the US please?

Also that monster in the end… I want to fight it!

  • Jesse Torres

the character at 1:35 looked like someone from assassin’s creed lol

  • Cullen McDufford

There’s only one IP from Capcom that I actually get excited about anymore, and I’m damn happy that it’s Monster Hunter. Looks amazing.

  • tha_Chiller

be sick to walk around Manhattan with this, finding others

  • Ulicies

That looks amazing. The verticality and dynamic map design makes MH4 look like the most exciting installment yet!

  • Vash bane

    ….wow….just wow
