The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons are headed to the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in Japan. The two games will be available on February 27th for 600 yen each.

Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata, also announced that 3DS owners in Japan will be able to buy the two games together for a discounted price of 1,000 yen for a limited time.

These definitely have to come to the US. At least, I hope. I never got a chance to play so them I am so ready!

  • mockturtle

I literally read the first part of the title, screamed “YES!”, then read “in Japan” and immediately started groaning and cursing.

Let’s hope they come to the US ASAP.

    • ForteWily

I honestly don’t expect this game to be held in Japan for long. Given that the Oracle games happen to have a bit of a following…
I am a bit curious that Capcom is ok with re-releasing the games… but that might be a good thing here.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Never played this two here but, if it is released here.(Which i believe surely it will come.) I would get the game.

  • phangtom

If NoA and NoE don’t release it for the west… Let’s just that I’ve given up on the eshop.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Except for Mother title, what other Nintendo game that don’t come here actually?

  • gamerdude

I really hope this comes to EU.

These are one of the most critically acclaimed games ever made and deserve a re-release.

GBC games look so much better on the 3ds screen because of the backlight and super vivid colors.

  • Raltrios

Seasons was my very first Zelda game ever, and Ages was my brother’s. Fantastic pair.

…Please tell me they’d still be able to link up with each other on 3DS!

    • Nozomi

This. My brother had Seasons, I had Ages, and when we both beat the game and switched, we were so confused.

      • Raltrios

Some of my finest memories were of these games. Opening it up on Christmas and being allowed to play even though we were grounded… staying up past midnight, then playing them again immediately after waking up…

    • Ben Sylvia

I doubt you could link them together like on the GB with the cable, but I’m sure the password connection still works.

To bad they can’t make it compatible with the touch screen for those.

  • KingGunblader

NORTH AMERICA. NAO. Seriously, these are the best handheld Zeldas ever.

    • Aaronrules380

No, that’s Link’s Awakening by far. which is already out on the eshop as well

      • KingGunblader

I respect your opinion but NO, it’s Oracle of Seasons for me. I don’t think I ever even beat Ages.

        • Armane

Seasons had better action elements, but Ages had better puzzles, Awakening had a better mixture of both and one of the best stories in the series.

      • Krisi92

No. Awakening is a fantastic game, but the Oracle pair just surpasses it in almost every aspect, IMO.

  • Zonic505

Awesome to see they’re offering a bundle deal. Now let’s hope the password deal & such is left intact as well.

  • $39420547

    thank you

  • WindButterfly

Does this mean maybe i’ll finally get one of my favorite zelda games back. I’d buy day one if this comes over to america.

  • MikeTxn

The question is, can you link them?

    • PersonaSpace

You’ll probably have to do it using the password system.

  • Brimfyre

These games and Majora’s Mask are the only Zelda games I’ve never beaten. I’m finally going through MM as we speak. It would be perfect if these come out just after I finish MM.

Then my Zelda conscious will be clear.

  • PABLO Rapetti Perez

They are my favorite Legend of Zelda games ever. Incredible adventures with lots of things to do (hope for a Zelda of the same style on 3DS). They made me think of Pokemon Red/Blue, only that here there are two completely different games, which is something not many game companies can talk about (two different games at the same time). Originally, there were supposed to be 3, as incredible as it may sound.

  • i never got to play these games, but thought they were super cool…hopefully they grace NA with their availability!

  • Nozomi

  • Sergio BriceƱo

I really wish this was out in the Americas.

Just as an update to your current article, the games have been announced for other regions through
Aonuma’s Miiverse. No date announced though.

  • tha_Chiller

…Oracle of Secrets for the 3DS?? wanted to call that

  • tha_Chiller

  • James Todd
