  • Interesting, looks like it could be fun. At that low of a price point I think I’m willing to check it out as even if I only get a few hours out of it I’ll be happy.

  • Just Tim

    SOLD! I’ll totally get this.

    Update: already did.

  • zero254

    Am I missing something here?

I’ve had this version for about half a year now from gamers gate?

Maybe I should check for an update.

Either way, this is still a good article that sums up the game.

  • Alex Sargeant

Nice! The original was still a damn good looking game. It doesn’t have all the wild systems that an Arc System Works fighter does, but that’s in no way a negative.

Also maybe the nicest character select screen ever,

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

    Wow this is EXTREMELY unexpected.

  • Omg! I loved Vanguard Princess when I played it. I didn’t expect this at all, but I’m excited.

  • phangtom

Wasn’t the English version released months ago? What else did they add other than the censorship or alterations to some of the girl’s costumes and the additional support character that could only be accessed through random select in the JPN ver.?

    • They censored the costumes?

    • CirnoTheStrongest

It’s the same, the trailers from December….Why is this being treated as new news?

    • Astrotrain

      what censorship?

    • censorship… you’re kidding right? >.<

  • JonathanisPrimus

Not on Steam? Not gonna sell on PC.

    • CirnoLakes

I’d buy this on Steam via the PC in a heartbeat.

Someone tell the people involved to get on this right now.

      • FlamingFirewire

I’m more of a GOG.com guy (since I don’t like Steam very much), but I’d love to see this game get some more exposure.

  • Richard N

    They’re very modest aren’t they?

    “Solid Gameplay”

It’s like, “hey, it’s pretty good, we’re not gonna say it’s amazing, but give it a try.” And for that I will.

    • Mike Pureka

I think they’re more aiming for the fighting game community’s use of “solid” – which is to say, “non-gimmicky, skill-based”.

      • Richard N

Aw, so they’re not actually good modest folk. That makes me sad and I’m probably not gonna get it now.

Thanks for ruining it for me. :(

  • PersonaSpace

I’m terrible at fighting games so I probably won’t buy this, but the music from the trailer sounds like something out of Persona. I like it.

  • CobbleCake

I’m sure a lot of you know this already, but I’m just putting this out there. The original Japanese version is free.

    • Zarx

I’m sure a lot of people know that already, but some just want to support the game in any way.

      • CirnoLakes

Yeah, that’s part of why I want it.

Also as well, I kind of want more games I like on my Steam account. It’d be fun to be able to play this game, which I already do, without sending around that “in non-Steam game” message.

    • James Bond

Where can I get the original?

  • MrRobbyM

Holy crap I remember playing this in Japanese YEARS ago I’m totally getting this.

  • Luna Kazemaru

    will buy this

  • Oh my god I sucked so hard at the original.

  • anotherfake

Anyone know the name of the song playing in the trailer?

  • Guest

Anyone know the song playing in the trailer?

  • I saw this a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t believe it. Didn’t know it had extra features though. I remember playing it a while back and all the constant updates.

  • Visa Vang

FINALLY!! I’ve been playing the original Japanese version since the beta was posted at the author’s blog.

  • anarchy_panty

I had no idea this was getting an English release. It’s a pretty solid fighter, and for five bucks I’ll definitely be picking it up.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

    Thats awesome

  • puchinri

I remember giving it a try some time ago (maybe a few months after it was first released?) and it was pretty fun. I like the designs and graphics, but I had a hard time playing it (which I mostly attribute to my computer). I’m excited to give it another shot though~.

  • MrSirFeatherFang

I saw a video of this game on YouTube and had it in my watch later playlist for at least 2 or 3 years. The title of the video was in Japanese, but now I know what the name of the game is lol

  • Ni

Wake up Nathalia! Time to kick more butts!

  • HerosLight

Anyone noticed in the first screenshot of the character select screen, it says “Select Contrlols” at the bottom?

I just tried the demo, its pretty awesome and the sprites/visuals look gorgeous.

  • nyobzoo

the game is not bad at all considering that it was made by one person

  • Genjo

WOW i NEVER known they had English version until now!?!?! awesome trailer! but the REAL question is WHAT the hell is the name of the song playing in THE trailer? if ANYONE knows PLEASE LET ME know pm me or reply here i am PRETTY sure EVERYONE here wants know the name of the song also lol if so thank you!

  • TheExile285

This looks cool but I’d rather spend $10-20 to play it on a console or handheld

  • Visa Vang

I must say that they STILL don’t let you configure the movement buttons.

  • Göran Isacson

According to research, this has apparently been available for some time on Gamersgate… wonder why they suddenly decided to feature it here, but hey- at least it let me know the game exists in English in the first place!

  • GuyAlpha

I finally have an excuse to re-download this.

  • Beautiful 2D graphic.

    Next make a jrpg please

  • Pix

I completely forgot about this game…!

  • Linhua

… lol… I was liking the song there… sounds a bit like Ke$ha but is coo.

    • I’d be surprised if it’s true. I do like the song though.

  • disgaea36

yeah this demo doesn;t work every time I select the only character and difficulty it says loading then throws me back to the title menu.???? any ideas people

    • HerosLight

You can only play in Easy Mode in the demo.

      • disgaea36

that’s what it was lol thanks alot

  • brian

    From a youtube comment:
“goddammit, now japan thinks we like ke$ha”
Assuming that they even pay attention to games they already have domestically getting release overseas, then yeah.
edit: why is this posted 3 months after being uploaded to youtube?

  • Epitome

i like it but i couldn’t get it to read my madcatz vs stick it had ? marks for the directional inputs.

  • Hound

    0:31 “Anime Appeal” *panty shot.*
I guess that’s all the appeal needed nowadays? Trailer’s old though..

  • Finally, I’ve been waiting for so damn long for this…

but I’m still hoping for it to be released on PS3 soon too.

  • Guest

    Edit: Nevermind.

  • Demeanor

Disclaimer: don’t know anything about this game. Music, art, animation and style look really really awesome, but the game pace hits me as a little slow in this trailer…

  • Western music turns me off.

  • Alex Cattaneo

let this come to the ps3 on disc
