By Ishaan . March 4, 2013 . 5:30pm

Resident Evil: Revelations has a new difficulty mode on PC and consoles—Infernal Mode, which makes the game harder and also remixes item and enemy placement. Capcom have released a short trailer for this mode, and it shows off one of the new enemies in the HD version at the end—the Wall Blister. Watch it below:

Resident Evil: Revelations will be released on May 21st in North America and May 24th in Europe for the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U.

ok, now that’s looks hardcore as hell!
hope capcom make RE 7 like this, feeling under powered was one of the reason why older RE games where better in the horror department

oh hell no (in a good way) i am going to enjoy this.

  • HerosLight

I already own the 3DS version, but I wouldn’t mind playing it again for consoles/PC for the new content!

Capcom needs to go back to the Old RE style, like Revelations. I know they read all those positive comments about the game.

    • gamerdude

Don’t get me wrong I liked those bits too but let’s not give them TOO much credit though because this game DOES have plenty of shoehorned in action/shooter sequences that were critically panned.

    • MrSirFeatherFang

How was the 3D for the game? I’m kind of liking the 3D feature (new 3DS owner). Been playing Ocarina of Time.

      • Tylor Boreas Makimoto

Since the game is so dark, it pretty much always doubles/mirrors/whatever you want to call it when you first start it up. I got over it fast though.

      • Rafael Budzinski

…the best of all 3DS games in my opinion. It really takes a little time to get used to, but the depth is incredible!

        • Tails the Foxhound

Fire Emblem’s is pretty great too. Dat Chapter 10!

I think I saw the new enemy in the trailer. ^_^’

So this is the very definition of a corridor shooter?

With these trailers they make it seem the game is a hamster maze.

    • sunK1D

      It’s a ship so…

      • tubers

Is the entire game in the ship? Guess it had to be corridor experience (plenty of occlusion) due to the original hardware’s limitation since they wanted to emphasize on the graphics.

        • Raltrios

No, not the entire game takes place on a ship, though the large majority does. There are a handful of Episodes taking place in a Hunter-infested building in the ruins of a dying city, as well as a few in snowbound military sites.

But yes, it still pretty much amounts to corridors and rooms galore, though there are a number of larger spaces like the Promenade Deck, a few underwater sections, the Cafeteria, Casino, and a few other rooms here and there.

    That spandex!

  • Godman

Infernal mode is meant to put players who have beaten the game to a disadvantage with the whole remixing stuff. It really wouldn’t apply to me since I’ll be playing IM the first time. I am up for it!

  • Rick R

I was on board with this until I read it was $50. For a hand held port that’s asking too much. Will buy after a price drop.

    • http://twitter.com/Vietgeta VietGeta

If it was the other way around, yes. But this is an HD version with new features and a better network to play with others. $50 is more fair than a fresh new game which is $60.

    • Sean ‘Geg’ Reddie

The fact that $10 difference makes such a huge difference is really disheartening. Just buy it and support the horror if you want it, its amazing as far as a ’3DS port’ can go. Oh and hey, it has extra features.

    • J_Joestar

People have spent more on worst stuff *looks at RE6* >_>

  • Raltrios

Holy damn, I thought this game looked great on my 3DS, but this… it’s GORGEOUS.
I wasn’t planning on it, but I may have to invest in the port as well… but only after I finally break down and get XBL. Raid Mode’s too much fun, so I can’t justify upgrading just for the campaign.

The new enemy looks pretty sweet, though. As do the Oozes.

All i can see is Dat Ass

  • Tails the Foxhound

I hate those lancer enemies so much, guess I’ll be fighting more of them…
