As thanks for the strong response to Skullgirls’ fundraiser campaign, Lab Zero Games are adding an entirely new bonus stage to the game, independent of any story or stage goals, the developer announced this morning.

The new stage will be titled “River King Casino”. The image above is a piece of rough concept art for the stage. Lab Zero say they intend to show the entire design process for the stage’s creation, all the way from rough sketches to final execution. Composer, Michiru Yamane, will be be providing in-progress versions of her music for the stage as well.
The Skullgirls fundraiser is currently over $293,000 in contributions. At the $375,000 mark, Lab Zero will begin work on a new character named Big Band to add to the game.
