Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is getting a demo prior to launch, Tecmo Koei have revealed. While the demo has not been dated, it will feature stages for both Ryu and Ayane, and will be available on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Additionally, as previously reported, the Xbox 360 version of the game will support Microsoft’s “SmartGlass” feature, allowing you to view your stats on a smartphone or tablet, as well as watch strategy videos based on their in-game location and comment on them.

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge will be released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on April 2nd in North America and April 5th in Europe. In North America, the game will cost $40. Razor’s Edge is also available on Wii U.

Just to clarify, is this price drop gonna apply to the Wii U version as well as the newly releasing Xbox and Playstation versions?

    • Just the Xbox and PS versions. I’m sure Razor’s Edge will have dropped in price for Wii U by then, though, if it hasn’t already.

        Thanks much

  • At $40 it’s tough to resist, and this is coming from someone who not only didn’t buy NG3 but could BARELY bring himself to finish the game.

As someone who owns NG3 on PS3 and got Razor’s Edge with my WiiU… Razor’s Edge is a BIG improvement, and worth playing. Don’t let the disappointing initial NG3 release overshadow the truly strong effort to fix the game with Razor’s Edge.

I played NG3 hated it but had a blast with the multi player it was amusing.
Neo is razors edge as good as NG 1 and 2 ?

also can i have your GT ? i could lend a hand with some NG 3 multi player

I bought the original special edition. The game was OK…..:i….I love the statue it came with. I will probably cave in and buy this version.

  • Solomon_Kano

Nice. Can’t wait to give the demo a go. If it’s good, I’ll gladly throw down $40.

  • Romangelo

It should be a free DLC for NG3… LOL, I’ll buy it anyway.

  • Setsu Oh

although i never liked the ng games that much i have to say i played the demos for all 3 and enjoyed them(more the firsts though)

now that ng is back in gore…..i might be interested…
i just hope the stupid sections are not there anymore:
when you can t run anymore and have to chase down the last of the team of enemies while he is pleading for his life….its like a dialogue of ‘there will be blood’ in a ‘police academy’ movie. feels out of place.

“its like a dialogue of ‘there will be blood’ in a ‘police academy’ movie. feels out of place.”

Good God, that was just about the most perfect way to describe those segments. They just felt so OFF and at odds with the general tone of the other games in the series.

I bought the original at 60 and was pleased with it. It was far and away the weakest NG, but it was still a decent game as even a bad NG is better than most other games in the genre. I will most likely be double-dipping for this version.

  • MrSirFeatherFang

As someone who has played the original NG3 for over 100 hours and watched various videos of NG3RE, it looks like a huge improvement, but just remember it’s only an enhanced version.
It’s definitely not NG2 by any standard (I don’t think another NG1 will ever come out nor will it’s play style be replicated).
I will still pick this up even though I spent $120 on NG3 and it’s DLC combined.
