Capcom have announced a release date for Lost Planet 3 in North America and Europe. The PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game will reach North America on June 25th and Europe on June 28th. Here’s a new trailer you can watch as well:

Lost Planet 3 is being developed by Spark Unlimited. Capcom chose the developer after one of their producers was impressed by a prototype Spark had developed. You can read more about the game here.

Capcom says Lost Planet is not doing well in America, so they bring over 3, and not EX Troopers.

    • Brimfyre

      Boggles the mind.

However, 3 is developed by a western developer and looks to fit the mould of other sci-fi franchises. While E.X. Troopers is too colourful and bright and energetic for the western masses.

What is wrong with the west!?

Edit: I am still psyched for this game. Now to decide whether this or Remember Me will be my June console purchase!

Get over it already they already said they had no plans to bring over ex troopers its not even that great of a game -_-.

      • ReidHershel

It actually is a real good game; a lot of variety, the multiplayer team on team is fun, the campaign always has something new, and there are over 40 weapons. I bought it and beat it, but if people saw for what it was on the inside, the West would buy it.

        • Luna Kazemaru

Ok i have the game myself its not that great to me in terms of fun I find LP 1 and 2 MP alot more fun EX just is way to cartoonish

          • ReidHershel

True, it’s cartoonish, and I respect your opinion; but I think it is better than 2, but not as great as 1, it is greater than 2 because this game is ACTUALLY FUNCTIONAL EVEN WITHOUT CO-OP.

          • Luna Kazemaru

actuallyYou can play 2 fine without co-op but its not something i recommend unless you want to die alot

-its not even that great of a game

I’d beg to differ actually. It’s more Lost Planet than this is looking to be, as well. At least in terms of feeling.

        • Luna Kazemaru

          -lost planet feel

I don’t remember lost planet ever having a anime feel to it at all. Also I can’t really say much for this one but it looks more western thats all not to say the other lost planets where very Japanese so uhh yeah we can stop getting mad because the look changed.

          • LynxAmali

Not what I meant but okay.

-I don’t remember lost planet ever having a anime feel to it at all.

            First game.
I don’t ever remember it looking like a like Red Faction game.

I’m not mad either at all. How the hell you got that from my post, I have no idea.

    I can’t wait!

  • Shadowman

Seems like they did a major overhaul with the game, but still I can’t wait for this game.

  • landlock

seems to remind me awfully of Dead Space 3 from this gameplay trailer.

It looks surprisingly good. Count me in!

  • Göran Isacson

I was a little bit surprised at seeing a black woman in sensible clothes- surprised enough to admit that I’ll be keeping an eye on this game, even if the “Punch Out” giant robot gameplay seemed a bit too automatic for my tastes. I am hopeful, I guess.
