Can’t wait for my LE to arrive when it’s released. :3

  • Tenshiken

Famitsu game this game a 29/40, does that mean I should avoid this game?

    • Kefkiroth

That’s about 7 from 3 reviewers, and an 8 from 1 reviewer… That’s an alright score, though Famitsu is known to rate quite high, so I would avoid it.

    • MrSirFeatherFang

It’s based on a popular light novel with a manga and anime adaptation. Not my cup of tea. Probably caters to fans of the series.
It’s all up to you now.

      • It already brings in characters that shouldn’t belong in the arc this game takes place in, so yeah.

        • LynxAmali

One could technically argue no, it doesn’t bring characters who shouldn’t be included.

Keep in mind this is an original story written by the original author exclusively for the game.

        • natchu96

This game technically happens in its own timeline after said arc ends . . .

        • Thats the point anyway, it would be boring if it just re-tells the story, and we can make kirito end with any girl we want, damn, awesome

    • Go2hell66

Well you know you might want to wait for scores from someone else. Remember that famitsu gave ff xiii-2 a perfect score soooo…

    • Chris Yuen

Well, if you are one of those who avoided GodHand because IGN gave it a 3/10…personally, I don’t really care. If I like the looks of the game, I’ll buy it. It’s my own opinion that matters.

    • FitzpatrickPhillips

Famitsu lost credibility waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back, my friend.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

You can try to look for video on youtube on how the game plays rather than following review there as each person had different taste here.
If you are a .hack fans, you should love how this game plays.^_^

    • The only way to be sure is to see it in action for yourself. Go look up a gameplay vid lk wht boundries said.

    • Renaldi Saputra

      rating doesn’t affect..
it depends on the player itself

    • lol, someone taking famitsu’s score into consideration

Famitsu rated GOD OF WAR ASCENSION 39 of 40, and guess what the final boss is a joke, and only lenghts 6-7 hours! yes is sad! so i dont trust on famitsu anymore

  • Himiko

All that matters is mai waifu Silica is in this.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Waifu wars coming soon.^_^ It seems Silica is going to try make Kirito NTR Asuna lol.^_^

    • In be4 Yui child-blocked her. (Srsly, Yui introduce herself as KiriSuna child to Silica in the vid lol)

  • Visa Vang

Wait, wait, wait. That kicking skill looks out of place. I’m not saying, just saying.
Anyways, is the harem route available?

  • Raze

    Don’t worry Silica….
    I’ll give Kirito to you…

  • Prinny Dood

I wonder if this would come the us but keeps the japanese dialuoge

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

It would be better you don’t hope for this game to come here. Especially when this game is based on Light Novel and the fact that the anime is not even released anywhere here.
Not to mention, this is released on PSP.T_T

      • Prinny Dood

Well I dont have my hopes up its just that I like rpgs , and this is just wishful thinking.

        • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Well, PSP is not region locked, so you can just pre-order them here.^_^

          • Prinny Dood

Yeah youre right but I usually only play the tales series in japanese cause they all pretty much play same just different scenarios.

      • PoweredByHentai

Dood, Sword Art Online is still on CrunchyRoll.

        • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Ohh. Is it? But do they release any DVD or Blue-Ray outside of Japan? Or i mean is there any dub happening for the series?

          • PoweredByHentai

Aniplex USA has the license for Blu-Ray releases here in the US. Whether they do any dubbing at all is going to depend on what they announce next.

Like, seriously, Google it. I don’t keep up with the news on but even I know that SAO got licensed by Aniplex.

          • Renaldi Saputra

even if it would be dubbed into english, I still doubt the game would be released outside japan.. Same as they do to Re:Digitize and Hunter X Hunter too

  • Watching the video, I think I actually shouldn’t play it. SAO occupies an important part in my anime-emotional world right now, and I feel playing it will just lay waste to that space. I’ll stay with the anime and light novels. I guess.

    • The scenario are written by the author himself and it takes place in a new timeline. Just a reminder.

    • Why? Its another setting same chars, what if kirito would had done this, or that, or what would happen if kirito didnt advance with asuna but with this other girl, etc

I think this is an awesome addition to any fan of the series

      • It is not about the game, it’s about me. I have no issues delving into a game and connecting to characters in it. I have no problems becoming emotionally attached while reading and watching books, comics, movies, serieses….

But watching the gameplay of this game I feel a disconnect, the specific gameplay, and medium change here? I suspect they’ll stop me from connecting fully to the characters I so love, and in so doing may even harm my existing connection.

As such, even if it’s a splendid game many will get a good bang out of, I recognize that it is not for me :)

  • I loved the show. I watched some of it on crunchyroll. The problem with this game is rpgs are down right unplayable for me if they are not in English. I can’t ever understand what attacks I’m doing and when you have to ask town people for quest I won’t know what to do. Lets hope they have waypoints on the maps for missions.

  • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

    but for PSP dang

  • Here I was, defending this show on My Anime List, telling people it wasnt a harem anime, and then they announce this.

  • Also wtf isnt this in english?
