Sony Computer Entertainment Korea recently held an event where attendees could try out upcoming games headed to PlayStation platforms, and one of the games at the event was Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix. A member of Korean site, Ruliweb, managed to record camera footage of the game in action, and KHInsider shared it via YouTube. You can watch it below:

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix will be released in Japan this week and in North America and Europe sometime this Fall.

Looks really good! Can’t wait for this!

  • riceisnice

I’ve always wondered, have Nintendo/Sony made any breakthroughs in the Korean market? It seems like they prefer computer games but I’ve been hearing more news about gaming in Korea like how they got ANIMAL CROSSING LIKE 5 MONTHS BEFORE US AND IT’S NOT FAAAAAAIR!!

    • roxas sora

be patient and grateful my friend. but yeah it not fair…….

  • SunOatBoatMatadorQuattro

I hope the camera from KH1 has been fixed. I always had troubles in the race with Riku.

    • Curan_Altea

They tweaked the camera from the original, right analog stick controls it. Not sure about anything beyond that.

  • Wappuli

    Using magics on Destiny Island?

    • Dyne

it a show floor demo, so it there so people can test and see how the game fully works.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

Smooth frame rate and looks pretty like always

  • Alex Sargeant

Wow. That does look rather swish. Should we be expecting this kind of polish from all Square’s HD stuff? No wonder FFX is taking them so long.

    • StarWarudo

I hope that’s really the reason behind FFX’s wait.

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

I kinda wished they had the demo of some of the later parts of the game so we can see some of the changes really at work. But this shows how the visuals really took a leap. So far, so good.

  • DawnWolf

I have to wonder… is this real? I mean look at the command bar; we already know that we’re only supposed to have three with the fourth now being a reaction command. This wouldn’t be hard to fake with a PC, emulator, some cheats, and a T.V. screen. If you’ve emulated KH on an emulator you know it can look just as good as this.

    • Rodrigo Branco

      The fourth one is summons

    • maggosh

Reaction Commands are bound to triangle, just like in KHII onward.

  • StarWarudo

Watching that video was like having nostalgia punch you in the balls, only that is felt good.

  • NightzeroAX

The game looks absolutely beautiful. I honestly can’t wait for this to come out. I just wish there was some way to make 358/2days with online multiplayer I’m sure it would be loads of fun.

  • I really hope they made is 60fps! Still looks good with that style.

    • Kefkiroth

That was my first thought. The video made it look like it ran at a buttery 60 FPS. Hope it’s like that when it releases.

  • HerosLight

The falling board at 0:40 during the race with Riku always got me.

The game is still far from our hands, can’t wait.

  • cloudcaelum

    Jaggies everywhere, Vita version confirmed!

    • Testsubject909

Which is interesting because I’ve yet to play a Vita game that has any said jaggies.

Seriously, at most I’ve had some lag with Dynasty Warriors Next (when filled with multiple officers, troops and some damn juggernauts) and Ragnarok Odyssey (online multiplayer), but everything else ran smooth like hot butter on a clean knife.

  • Leon_Tekashi

    Wow, now that’s beautiful.

  • Aluxes

I can’t be the only one hearing remixed music? GOOD remixed music? Both the map
and battle themes of Destiny Island have new instruments in them and
    they sound really good.

  • Prinnydoom

“What was locked away now is free” Hello kh final mix oversea’s ^____^

  • All of my want!

    • Sweet Sui ♥

      All of my Munny! xD
Edit: Holy sh*t~ are pic previews back to being normal-sized on here? .w.

      • s07195

        Oh man, you’re right. 0_0

  • Christopher Abraham

were we able to use magic when we were still using the toy sword???

  • DrakeClawfang

I recall hearing they were re-assigning special attacks like Strike Raid to work with the Triangle button like KH2’s reaction commands, but I see the menu still has a fourth slot for them. Or did I just hear wrong?

    • MLSabre

More than likely not all features are included in this demo. Funny enough, you shouldn’t even have magic at that point. : /

    • Randy Marsh

The fourth slot is meant for the Summon command.

  • Sergio Briceño

I must admit it is looking very pretty. Still, I’m no collector and nothing justifies buying the same game so many times for me. 2 is enough.

    • Unless if you have the Japanese Final Mix of KH I then yeah.
As a little plus you can enjoy 358/2 Days through cutscenes too.

      • Sergio Briceño

But still, I’m not decided between this or FFX HD, I haven’t played X and I’ve been told it is the best FF by people who have only played FF from the PS era onwards. Too much exposition Squeare-Enix plots between short periods of time can mess up your mind, so If both come over I’m going to have to decide on which to get first.

        • The best FF is a subjective opinion honestly, you may love it but you may also not like it, personally I loved it so ya.
But if I were you I wouldn’t be worrying for FFXHD for a goood while, it’s more likely KH 1.5 will be released this year while FFXHD release date is still unannounced nor there seems to be an striking progress on it.

  • Nitraion

Honestly….I can’t see the difference except using magic on destiny island,
hope they shown us how to use reaction command soon

  • Göran Isacson

Looking good so far- not very different from the original, just shinier, hopefully smoother camera-wise and just about a really neat update. This pleases me.
