Pandora’s Tower Locked For April Release In U.S., Here’s A Trailer

By Ishaan . March 11, 2013 . 10:30am

Nintendo and Ganbarion’s Pandora’s Tower is headed to North America sometime this April, and Xseed, who are publishing it, released a new trailer for the game today. Check it out below:

Pandora’s Tower is about a mysterious curse afflicting a singer named Elena. Aeron, who has feelings for Elena, finds out that the only way to cure the curse is by killing 12 “master” monsters and bringing back their flesh for her to devour. With the aid of a merchant named Mavda, Aeron sets out to defeat the 12 masters, returning to Elena to feed her the flesh of each one as he goes along.

The longer Aeron takes to defeat each master, the more inhuman Elena becomes. Pandora’s Tower has multiple endings based on your interactions with Elena throughout the game.

The Wii Swan’s Song, A RPG game about a singer, fitting, I remember another RPG, Devil Summoner 2 for PS2 as the PS2 Swan’s song too, I’m just glad that the two came to the states.

    • I’d say Persona 4 was PS2’s swan song… it came out much later than Raidou 2, didn’t it? If you’re looking for something more mainstream, then probably God of War 2 was its swan song.

      • pretty sure raidou 2 was atlus’s final ps2 game.
        edit: yep

        • Ah, so it was. Mm, I’d still consider P4 the more fitting “swan song” of the two, though, simply because it was more widely-recognized and influencial than Raidou 2.

          • yeah definitely agreeing with you there

          • LightZero

P4 may be more popular I prefer Raidou 2.

          • raulrain

I like P4, but one can`t deny that Raidou 2 was the “swan song” for being the last good RPG game for the PS2, it`s that title for being the last, P4 it`s more popular, it`s true, but if we talk about PS2 games, Sakura Wars So long My Love for PS2 (and wii) wins in the end, that game was indeed a surprise, Pandora Tower will be remebered in this way too, and that`s a good ending for the wii, at least for me :D

Nope, Persona was out first by several months.

      • raulrain

If you compare them, yeah P4 wins, but I´m talking about the last overall good rpg for PS2, and Raidou 2 came out much later than Persona 4

    yayyyyyyy tq x seed

  • Randgriz

Brilliant game totally overlooked when it came to Operation Downfall. All people cared about were Xeno and The Last Story – but this game was far more interesting to me and boy was it fantastic!

    • shafiq95

      Its rainfall

      • Randgriz

Lol thanks, whyd i say that!

        • sfried

Must be all of those “Hitler Rants about” meme videos

    • Junko Enoshima

Mostly Xeno though. Poor TLS was thought of as inferior to many, but I liked it more than Xeno…Anyways I have always wanted to try this game. Is it stressful due to the timer?

      • Randgriz

Not really, its quite calming in its own way. Its a brilliant action game.
        Youll love it!

      • I tried very, very hard to like TLS, and I do love the story and characters and battle system. But man, that framerate… urgh.

        • Junko Enoshima

Trust me; you don’t know bad framerate until you’ve played Banjo-Tooie.

    • In agreement here. I’m glad we got the other games too, as I have them sitting on my shelf, but Pandora’s Tower was the game I wanted to play the most.

    • Kristina Wright

I actually wanted this game more than Xeno and Story so you’re not alone!

  • Beautiful. So much feels for this story. My answer? Yes Elena. I promise to still love you even more than ever. As I would with any woman that I loved.

I also love Xseed for publishing it =^_^=

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

April fool!!! oh wait.. its not a joke? YAY

  • Richard N

Oh man, this game looks so sick. Can’t wait, and for so cheap too!

My Wii’s still got some life in it!~

  • Boy is it hard to get that good ending in the game. Overall a pretty good game. It really could have used a more variety of music.

  • Wow, the pitch for this game sounds so good. I’m sad I won’t get to play it.

  • Ricardo C

Looks like my Wii is gonna get some love because of this.

  • Caleb

MAN, I really wanted a soundtrack, art book, or something… I’m happy we got it though.

  • Göran Isacson

When you turn into a hideous beast is when I will begin to love you. For I am…

  • Voltech44

Now how did I let this game slip off my radar? Well, no matter; good to see that it’s on the way, and it’s likely going to be worth a look.

I have to admit, this game is reminding me a bit of Shadow of the Colossus (slay a specific number of monsters to save your loved one!). But then again, I’m pretty sure that lots of games could benefit from borrowing — liberally — from SotC.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

This game is going to be the swan song for my Wii here.T_T Well, my whole time with Wii have been a blast. Now it is time to enjoy saving my flesh eating babe lol.^_^

  • Tom

Everyone should play this game! I bought a limited edition and played during the winter holidays, it was awsome! Too bad the US gamers had to wait so much.

  • cusman

Wouldn’t it be nice to get an Operation Rainfall HD Collection for Wii U containing HD ports of Xenoblade, Pandora’s Tower, and Last Story?
