Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge Demo Lets You Unlock Kasumi

By Ishaan . March 12, 2013 . 9:00am

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is getting a demo on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 today (tomorrow in Europe), and will allow you to play as both Ryu and Ayane in their own separate stages, Tecmo Koei announced this morning.

Additionally, the demo will also allow you to unlock Kasumi as a playable character. You’ll also be able to unlock a Chapter Challenge mode that lets you use the characters in each other’s stages, after you complete both the Ryu and Ayane stages. Ryu’s takes place in a desert in Dubai, while Ayane’s takes place in Paris.

While the demo initially allows you to play only on Hero and Normal difficulty levels, you can also unlock the Hard and Master Ninja levels.

Finally, all Karma and Ninja Skills acquired in the demo can be transferred to the full version of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, which will be released on April 2nd in North America and April 5th in Europe.

Wow, Tecmo’s really going all-out with these large demos with transferable saves for this and DOA5+. I think its a great idea.

  • TheExile285

Nice! Glad I waited on this. I really hope we get the DoA5+ demo today….

I’m still deciding if I should get this on Wii U. I have about $50 worth of credits and I always talk myself out of downloading it. I loved the first 2. Is this one worth it?

Razor`s Edge is why I bought a Wii U and I had no buyers remorse for neither the console or game.

  • sunK1D

Hmm XBL already updated in the US but no demo…

  • Solomon_Kano

Awww yea. Looking forward to seeing how much this has improved.

    today? yes!

  • Something to do before getting Razor’s Edge for my birthday. Thanks, Team NINJA!

  • Crevox

Might try this. Liked Ninja Gaiden, disliked Ninja Gaiden 3.

Well data transfers are popular these days and Nintendo has been using it on the 3DS with it’s demo’s saves that can be transferred over to the full game. Glad to see it finally caught on.

STILL!! Can NG3:RE use the original game save file or do I have to play through it again? Well, I am gonna have to play through it again but I just wanna know.

    • MrSirFeatherFang

You probably need to play through it again. You get the Epigonos costume with the NG3 save though

  • MrSirFeatherFang

How do you unlock Kasumi? I already beat both Ryu and Ayane on Master Ninja. However I didn’t play Chapter Challenge yet
edit: I did Chapter Challenge on Master Ninja. Ayane on Day 2 and Ryu on Day 2 – Ayane. Still no Kasumi
btw this game is still cheap as hell lol. I would be spmaming UTs, but it yeilds less Karma then waiting forever to do a SoB

    • SolarBoyDjango

I’d like to know too. I’m pretty sure I’ve done almost everything.
This is much better than the previous version of 3, I’m surprised there is such a jump in quality.

      • MrSirFeatherFang

Just did Chapter Challenge. both days with both Ryu and Ayane on Master Ninja. Nothing.

      • MrSirFeatherFang

I found out what to do, read my above post

  • kangms872

    how to unlock kasumi??

    • MrSirFeatherFang

Chapter Challenge. Both Days with Ayane all difficulties
The video I have in the process of unlocking her is still uploading. I was going to do it with both Ryu and Ayane, but someone claimed to unlock Kasumi with just Ayane, both days and all difficulties. So that’s what I did!

      • kangms872

        thanks xD

      • PandaAmyify

That’s what i did too. I beat chapter challenge all difficulties with Ayane, and no Kasumi. This is frustrating x.x

      • Guest

I think you have to get complete them having the grade “S”

        • MrSirFeatherFang

Yes, complete both days with Ayane on all difficulties and get an S Rank on all of them.

      • Guest

Because i beat chapter challenge both days in all difficulty, but my grades are “A”.

  • transferable traits are awesome. it grants a sense of seamless gameplay. not just for cut scenes/
