Fire Emblem: Awakening To See Free Downloadable Maps And Characters

In addition to paid DLC maps, Nintendo have also been releasing free downloadable content for Fire Emblem: Awakening via the Nintendo 3DS’ SpotPass feature, which allows it to automatically download new content for games while the device is connected to the Internet. This morning, they announced that the game will continue to see free content throughout Spring.   One piece of free SpotPass content that will be available today in North America will be a new map, titled “A Hard Miracle”. This map will follow Chrom as he encounters a mysterious woman and sets off to rescue her with a group of kidnapped villagers.   More SpotPass content will be made available for free over the next few weeks, and will include the following maps:   Ghost of Blade (Mar. 28th) – A tale about a ghost and the “ultimate sacrifice” Wellspring of Trust (Apr. 11th) – A map full of challenging enemies The Radiant Hero (Apr. 25th) – Chrom and allies search for a legendary hero   In addition to these free maps, special weapons and additional playable characters will continue to be distributed via SpotPass as well. SpotPass Content in the game can be accessed by going to the Wireless option from the game’s main menu, and checking the Bonus Box for updates.
