Just great another FF game when you have one that’s not even finished yet, plus the Kingdom Hearts game you said you were gonna make. >_>

We are talking a game that has been around now almost ten years, has a loyal following and cash flow. It is new content not ‘another’ FF game.

After spending some time with FFXIV alpha and beta, I think I’ll be coming back to XI once this expansion launches.

It’s a shame, really. I was genuinely enjoying XIV as it was right before it went down for ARR.

You obviously don’t know what NDA stands for :P

And yes, it was already clarified on lodestone: saying that you were in alpha/beta breaks the NDA.

    RUN/PLD build is a go! =D

They turned XIV ARR into one of those games where you just follow blinking arrows and ignore flavor box stories. The quests don’t even have their own cutscenes and story like XI does so I think I’ll return to XI as well.

They REALLY dropped the ball when it comes to XIV. There’s so little player involvement needed that I’d hardly even call it a game. It’s more like a blinking lights display for the brain-dead.

why is it silly crap like this always being posted =_=

Hey final fantasy XI players, my friend and I were wondering how many people still play this gameon the xbox 360? Because we recently found out about this game, (and we know its been out for plus ten years) We want to purchase the 40$ edition since it has the original game. Can someone please reply with info? thanks

They do indeed, however that doesn’t really matter. FFXI is currently the only MMO that allows PS2, PC and 360 players to play together.

I’d love to have time to go back to playing this game. I used to put hours upon hours of work on this game. Back then, had almost all jobs at 75. Of course, now 75 is “too weak”, and there are a few new jobs and spells!
I was single back then, so I had time. Now I have two daughters and a 11 year old step-son. My wife loves video games. We’ve played other more family-friendly MMOs since he was 8. I know he’d get the hang of FFXI now that he’s 11, and having something to play together again would be great. The hold back, my 2yo and my 7m.o. daughters. I’d rather spend time with them, and work is a pain.

But I might just be able to squeeze this one. An hour or two a day, at night, or so, wouldn’t be bad, specially when you don’t have to look for a party. The price is right, if it does indeed include every single expansion as well as all the episodic content.

The question is…”does anybody level up at the Dunes anymore?” and I think I remember this but I don’t recall how it worked. Was there a way to lock in a level so that higher level people could join a party? like take a lv 99 person and lock them at lvl 15 to kill pugs or some such. It’s been a long time, but I thought they added that functionality. Maybe it was the sprout beret? can’t remember!
