    Interesting 404 error, that.

    • Hmm, that’s a link from Nintendo. Give it a bit; they might fix it.

Wow, I was gonna wait for HarmoKnight to be on sale, but I think I’m sold enough to get it at launch. Seriously fun demo and liked the music. Hoping the rest of the game is as fun as the demo.

P.S. The game doesn’t tell you, but if you hold “A”, you can charge your attack & if it connects with enemies, you get double the notes.

    • From what I saw of it a few months back when it was demoed in Japan it really looked fun. I’m planning on getting it when it comes out and I don’t usually do that, even with demos. It seemed fairly fun in its own right. I hope it does well here.

    • Just got done with the demo.

Flat out getting this when it comes out here in a couple weeks. I’d be surprised if this gets poorly reviewed.

HarmoKnight… I really don’t understand their communication on this game. It was confirmed late last year in Europe (release somewhere in March), then nothing… Until yesterday (trailer) and now, the US got a release “date” (a few weeks ago) and a demo… I’m confused.

I’m really liking the HarmoKnight demo, but I’m not sure for $15. I’ll still probably end up getting it anyway.

Favorite unintentional thing: No pretense of the bottom screen being used for anything useful. The only thing constant going on down their is reminding you that the home button exists. That’s hilarious to me.

Favorite intentional(?) thing: Hearts rollover. For the “Buzzooka Brawl” boss battle I can’t for the life of me get the timing right on the left/right movements (unless by pure luck). After I eventually did beat it though, I went back to playing the “Your Bicycle” level for a few times and eventually noticed that the hearts I got kept adding up (at least when not getting hit). I went back to the boss battle, and sure enough I started off with 8 hearts instead of 5.

“Least” favorite thing (though hardly a big deal): Game Freaks inability to escape from their Pokeball. As much as I like the bike-riding music, it’s kind of disappointing that in one of their few attempts to branch outside of that title still result in them still leaning on it. Considering Pokemon’s been adapted to everything from puzzle to photography games, I don’t see how a music game could be a stretch. (And it seemed to work for Theatrhythm) It’s not like the series has a shortage of monsters or music to use. Then again it could have been ‘just another’ Pokemon spin-off, so I guess it’s a damned if you do/don’t situation for them in that regard.

    • Pretty sure the rabbit character said they are special stages so just for fanservice. It would be neat if there was a Drill Dozer song or other Nintendo stuff for example.

      • In looking around for what I could, I didn’t see any Art Museums in the stuff I was seeing which bummed me out. Drill Dozer’s OST is definitely a good one.

    • I thought it was going to be 30 and was going to line up to get it. I’m glad you’re letting me know it’s 15.

    Tempo for Smash bros 2013

  • Game is awesome. It is like Bit Trip Runner for the main gameplay and the Buzzooka Brawl boss reminds me of Rhythm Thief.

HarmoKnight for EU too please. Nintendo really isn’t alleviating the consequences of region locking by having this segmented release schedule.

It’s just rubbing in the fact that we’re suffering for completely arbitrary reasons.

Anyway this looks really awesome and as a long time Game Freak Fan I’ll be sure to buy it.
