Sony released an update patch for God of War: Ascension this week, based on feedback gleaned from their community on the PlayStation Blog, Facebook and other online avenues. The update, numbered 1.03, adds a customization feature for multiplayer characters, called “Marks”.

Additionally, the Trial of Archimedes has been tweaked as well, and you can read about the changes made to it in this PS Blog post.

Finally, God of War: Ascension is currently going through a double XP period in the game’s multiplayer mode for the entirety of this weekend. The double XP period lasts until April 1st.

lol double XP… reminds me of that weird Mountain Dew and Doritos campaign or whatever for Halo 4…
Only if there was someway I could get double XP in Etrian Odyssey IV…

    • You know, that’s actually an interesting idea. Even if an RPG is single-player only, you could enable it to connect online for special events like double XP or rare monsters showing up. I don’t know why more developers don’t do that.

      • It could even be an indirect anti-piracy measure that actually rewards the player for “checking in” now and then.

Come to think of it, Fire Emblem: Awakening‘s SpotPass DLC is kinda like that, isn’t it? Even if anti-piracy probably isn’t the main intention.

The Marks are a cool addition, not too happy bout the lower challenge in Trial of Archimedes though. =/

      what do marks do?

Cosmetic appearance. You have colored markings/tatoos on you like Kratos does.

oh so no health boost or anything? cool
