By Ishaan . March 31, 2013 . 10:30am

The next hunting action game to see a PlayStation Vita bundle in Japan is Tecmo Koei’s Toukiden. The game will be released this June for the PSP and Vita, and the Vita version will come with its own hardware, according to a Famitsu.com report.

The Toukiden Vita hardware bundle will include the special Vita, a copy of the game, and a download code for an Issun Boushi spirit.

Toukiden will be released on June 27th in Japan. The PSP version will cost 5,040 yen while the Vita version will be higher at 6,090 yen. The PlayStation Vita bundle with the game will go for 26,070 yen.

Prior to the game’s release, a demo will be available on April 2nd for the Vita version of Toukiden. The demo will support adhoc multiplayer for up to four players.

    That looks really cool

  • Prinny Dood

It would seem developers only care for japan and everywhere else get lame indie games:/

    • AyaisMUsikWhore

Someone doesn’t appreciate gaming. Indie aren’t lame at all but very unique and creative… Stuff you normally don’t get from AAA titles so I’ll take indie games that cost less than full price overhyped franchises that don’t really add much to the next installment

    • xavier axol

Wow, to call indie games “lame” is wrong in so many levels. right now when the gaming industry is losing it’s touch, the indie developers are pretty much caming with new ideas. it’s actuallly helping, now that may not be what you’re looking for interms of a huge triple A title. but that’s not a reason to call them lame.

are you just talking about the vita and all these indie announcements? i can understand the feeling that we are not getting enough support when it comes to big original games like gravity rush. but at least soul sacrifice is caming right around the corner.

    • M’iau M’iaut

These kinds of posts are not welcome here. We are through listening to biased and bigoted opinions that mean nothing. Warned.

      • Prinny Dood

Well it seems I committed a taboo and for that im truly sorry.

      • Flandre Scarlet

        Opinions are against the rules?

        • M’iau M’iaut

The first thing we ask our community to do, and have always asked is that folks simply think before posting — and read before posting. A new IP in a genre that is far more popular in Japan than the US is being released. A special version of a system is coming alongside said release.

Taking a leap from that to ‘developers only care for Japan’ and ‘lame indie games’ are not opinions we need to see here any longer.

  • Strid

That’s a cool looking Vita, now if only I hadn’t seen the bland and boring gameplay video of this game earlier in the week I may be a bit excited about all this.

  • Randgriz

Im looking eagrly at tecmo koei EU/US, come on – dont drop the ball on this!

    • BloodTorrent

Tecmo Koei stuff is usually good for localisation, although most of their franchise are established. Hopefully they aren’t gonna be cowards like Capcom.

  • Solomon_Kano

So… next is the God Eater 2 bundle, I presume?

Sony looks to be bundling all of the hunting games. Pretty smart.

    • xavier axol

that’s a given, who wants to see kanon on the back of the vita!?

      • psycho_bandaid

…I didnt think a GE bundle was a good idea until I read this post. I will take two, please.

      • ShadowDivz

I’d settle for a Kanon wallpaper but that’s fine too.

That’s a great idea! God Eater 2 bundle I would buy in a heart beat, I guess seeing all these bundles means I should hold off until its a game and color I want to see.

      • ShadowDivz

Unless you plan on importing. I don’t think youl see a bundle you will like for a while.

    • tubers

Smart maybe.. but I’ll find that kinda amusing as it would imply to me that Sony’s really overcompensating for the loss of MH in their new portable.

      Better than nothing I guess.

      Gameplay:

      • ShadowDivz

They kinda have to, isn’t MH really popular in japan? MH in japan is like C.O.D in the west. Everyone loves it.
Besides, who cares! This means more new I.Ps.

        • tubers

I sure wouldn’t mind a MOE/LOLI MH clone :P Would perfectly fit the bill in Japan.

          • PoweredByHentai

I take it that you haven’t seen Phantasy Star Online 2?

          • tubers

LOL never realized that PSO2 can be MOE.. nah.. not that.. something more blatant and obvious..

As far as I’ve seen, 90% of PSO2 aren’t really “moe” and so is the base art and 3d geometry (unlike Neptunia, a bit of Shinovi, Atelier, etc).. PSO2 has an air of being a bit more neutral and more serious than I was thinking :D

I was thinking somewhere along like Senran (celshade?), a bit more cute and younger but a hunting game (but somewhat comedic) with plenty of rpg elements and character interaction xD

          • ShadowDivz

What the– how would that even work?
Are we talking moe girls killing nargacugas with panty shots in every swing?
Because if so, i like what your thinking.

          • BloodTorrent

I think all fans of Japanese things are on board with the content of this comment thread

  • Valtiel Ikari

japan always seems to get the best bundles, when we get one, it’s (usually) just a colour change, but japan have designs in them, cool ones to booth

    • ShadowDivz

      I know, it’s so envious.

  • http://www.staticshin.com/ Akshat Jiwan Sharma

A reminder that the default vita color is pretty awesome.

  • Christian Paulo Villaflor

So no demo for the psp ? Awts.!

  • Elvick

Come on SCEA, I want to see a special Vita here. ):

  • Zero Shift

Can we just get at least ONE special edition Vita (that has a design on the back, so the AC:L “edition” doesn’t count) in the US? Knowing the market here though, we’d get something silly like a Call of Duty design…
