Skullgirls Prototype Mechanics For Eliza, Scythana And Molly

By Ishaan . April 2, 2013 . 9:00am

Lab Zero Games have been streaming bits and pieces of Skullgirls’ development process on the web for people to watch, and the most recent streams show Skullgirls creator Mike Zaimont working on prototype mechanics for Eliza, Scythana and Molly—three of the eligible candidates for the new third character. The video below shows prototype mechanics for all three characters:

The first new Skullgirls character, Squigly, is scheduled for release in mid-July, alongside the PC version of the game. All new characters funded through the IndieGoGo campaign will be free for the first three months after release. Following that, they will be priced at standard price ($5).

  • Still hyped O uO .

Money is already well worth it.

I was also surprised, on the last day I went to see how much they got for funding and it exceeded everything. It was freaking awesome.

Edit: oh and. I don’t really care about ponies but hey, good for those who do and are anticipating the Mane6 game.

Blood control is a cool ability so Eliza ended up being one of my picks. Considered picking Molly because of her phone mech suit, but decided not to at the last second. And Scythana didn’t appeal to me as much as others, so I didn’t even look at her in the polls.

      Wait, has voting started? I didn’t get n e-mail about it…

      • Diamondragon

If you opted out of Surveymonkey at some point in the past, you wouldn’t have gotten the email. Other than that, just check your spam filter. I got the voting link this morning.

Since the voting link is unique to every voter, you’ll need your email to vote. I’d hit up the LabZero folks about that.

Disregard this, I assumed the e-mail I got was in response to the one I sent, it was not.

  • These are unique mechanics not even the professionals seem to use. Eliza will make it easy to see all the combo titles and also seems to be high-risk high reward.

Sweetness! Eliza is who I am most looking forward to, a while back when I was reading about her move set, they had her similar to Litchi from Blazblue and to me that is just awesome! I really hope she gets to be a fan pick :D

hmm i hear me some advance wars in the background

Need to pick this game up still…. Maybe when I get my $20 credit from PSN.
