Pandora’s Tower Reaches North America On April 16th

By Ishaan . April 3, 2013 . 10:15am

Pandora’s Tower has a release date in North America. Xseed announced this morning that the Wii action game will be released on April 16th. The game also now has an official website, where you can read up on its characters, weapons and more. Additionally, you can watch a new trailer below:

Pandora’s Tower is a story about Aeron and Elena. Elena is a singer plagued by a curse that’s turning her into a monster. The only way to ward the curse off and stop it entirely is for Elena to eat the meat of thirteen monsters called “masters”. Aeron and Elena find refuge in an observatory located in the wastelands, in a rift known as “The Scar”. From here, with the help of a merchant named Mavda, Aeron begins to visit the mysterious towers in the Scar, to find and kill the masters and bring their meat back to Elena.

Pandora’s Tower was developed by Ganbarion (One Piece: Unlimited Cruise) in collaboration with Nintendo, who published the game in Japan and Europe. North America will see the game on April 16th for $40.

  • I don’t know about you all, but I’m excited =^_^=

    • AnimusVox

You’re not alone. ‘Project Rainfall’ is pretty much the main reason I ended up buying a Wii.

  • kool_cid414

Should have come out two days earlier I could get it as a birthday present lol. I didn’t think it’d be out this soon.

  • MrJechgo

I thought it was on March 26th…

  • TruSpindash

Xseed said at first that the 16th was just a place holder date and I was kind of hoping it was, well looks like I’ll be spending a lot of money on the 16th for this and Soul Hackers.

    • Ceci “Ruzuzu” Kiyomizu

      You and me both.

  • I already beat the PAL version. It’s hard to make myself want to get it now.

  • Jahred Down

    Everyone. Play. This. Game!
I loved it, and not since Clementine have I cared so much about the survival of a character.

  • SetzerGabbiani

The same day as Soul Hackers…I’ll see if there’s room in the gaming budget……why, Xseed? :'(

  • neo_firenze

Pandora’s Tower is phenomenally weird in a good way, the insane story wouldn’t feel out of place in the Drakengard/Nier series.

I probably won’t buy it though, since I have the PAL version. The big lag in announcing a NA release lost my sale since I went ahead an imported when I doubted it would get localized here.

    • How… is it? I’m kind of wary of putting $40 down on it since it doesn’t look like there’s a whole lot of variety in the combat/platforming. Does it get overly repetitive?

      • Sentsuizan_93

Well the combat is solid, and the features like the Oriachlum chain are executed fairly well. The game’s biggest shining point for me were the boss battles (which were pretty fun). However, it can get a bit repetitive overtime (but not too repetitive) and its relatively short compared to Xenoblade and the Last Story, but what it lacks in play time length, it makes up for with multiple endings (which i’ll keep to myself for the sake of avoiding spoilers). Overall, it’s a solid game.

        • @facebook-737323208:disqus @chibz_93:disqus Thanks, guys. I don’t mind the length part of it, since it’s hard for me to dedicate any major time to console games these days anyway. Guess I’ll take the chance, even if the combat gets a little repetitive, as long as the flow of the game is entertaining enough.

      • Jake Caro

        It’s definitely worth 40$ It’s got a great plot/music.
The chain makes the platforming and combat really fun and interesting.

The fighting was the weakest part to me. Building the relationship with the Elena is really sweet, and it always feels like you have a loved one back at home waiting for you to come back safe.

  • Mister_Nep

Had this pre-ordered since it first hit Amazon. So eagerly awaiting this game. Really want to play it.

  • Keep forgetting about this but I’m making sure to buy it still.

  • Hawks

“is for Elena to eat the meat of thirteen monsters called “masters”” -lol

    • AnimusVox

      Oh you

  • Strid

Pandora’s Tower, the route Castlevania should have taken.

  • Richard N

So sick. It kinda just reminds me of Shadow of the Colossus if not just darker and more twisted, but hey if you’re gonna copy from somebody copy from the best.

  • Farid Belkacemi

Great game, don’t miss it :)

  • Awesome. I Can’t Wait!!!!!!

  • Jirin

I know nothing about this game but people who like the same sort of games as I do seem to be excited about it, so I’ll definitely check it out.

Wice, finally completing the biggest Wii RPG trilogy :) I wish they would just add the invert y-axis though, no option to change that made it really hard for me.. like Sherlock Holmes Testament.. All games should have such an simple but important option. Took me a while to get used to Telltales’ Walking Dead, but very hard for an action game like Pandora’s Tower.. I haven’t finished the Jpn ver yet, but pre-ordered from Amazon day 1 :)

  • AfroMessiah

Looks like Elena will be devouring monster flesh while Pandora’s Tower and SMT: Soul Hackers will be devouring my cash. April’s looking good.

  • Vash bane

    hm *looks closer*
interesting the date ties in with another game

  • Tom

If you really wanna enjoy the game don’t read any background stories before completing it. Poor american gamer friends, I thought the game is already out there. I just finished it 2012 december. It was really good, a refreshing one. Intense battles, awesome boss fights.

  • I remember seeing an import review of this game and some trailers last year on IGN, it had me interested then and it still has me interested now.
