Nippon Ichi have announced a release date for The Witch and the Hundred Knights in this week’s issue of Dengeki PlayStation magazine. The game is slated for release on July 25th on the PlayStation 3.

The regular edition of the game will cost 7,140 yen. In addition to this, a limited edition will be released for 10,290 yen.

As previously detailed, The Witch and the Hundred Knights is in development by the same team that worked on the Prinny platformers. The game is an action RPG that puts you in the shoes of a knight who can turn into a hundred cavalrymen and also equip different kinds of weapons. Read more here.

The Witch and the Hundred Knights is already confirmed for release in the West.

  • Yes! It has begun.

About freaking time! Let’s hope the western release ain’t far off.

  • Andrew Arndt

mhm let the west get it short after…. iv waited soooo long

    More work for NISA.

Hopefully don’t endanger the 3 Neptune game for Vita (NISA haven’t confirm working on those)

    • I’m glad somebody’s worried about our workload… But worry not! We shall persevere!

No comment on the second half. Don’t read into that, either. Just…I have nothing to say about them.

      • Just wanna say, I sure can’t wait for this to be localized! I’ve had the game on pre-order on Amazon for basically forever now– literally since the game was first announced!

*wink wink nudge nudge* say no more say no more.

Neptunia PP would probably be the first game I shell out for the CE. Love music games.

    • DesmaX

Since this is their most promising game (I mean, this even has a Karma System), I would assume that they will prioritize this game.

And, seriously… I would be really, really surprised if that Idol game was localized

  • Ayaka

    This is a nightmare!

Limited edition? After I just threw some serious money at the collector for DD2? I swear being an employee for NIS must be really awesome since they literally swim in what used to be the inhabitants of my wallet. (But yeah, looking forward to this too!)

  • Sentsuizan_93

Now, I wonder when it will come to NA and EU…

  • DesmaX

Finally. Been waiting for this one since forever! Hope this plays like Ys…

  • About time! NIS really does not have the best luck with 3D games, huh? I hope this extra time means they’ve put in more effort into making sure this is good.

    • DesmaX

They never made a Full 3D game before. But now that they learned how to make one, I hope these delays doesn’t happen again

  • Jack Frazee

I was under the impression this game was out in Japan for some time now, since NISA had announced localization, what, a year ago?

But hey, great to hear. Hopefully this comes to North America as quickly as other NIS games have been.

  • ZekeFreek

Probably January or February 2014 for NA.

  • zferolie

I was worried this was canned, but glad to see it back. Now lets see some gameplay NIS!

  • kaizin

yay more news on this torn between importing it or not but cant wait for this game to be released and here is hoping the neptune idol game comes overseas.

  • FetusZero

Just waiting for NISA to open pre-orders on their store in the west. This year will be my biggest NISA year to date, that’s for sure.

Since it was announced a long time ago for us, it almost feels as if the game was localized all while it was being developed, meaning we will hopefully get it much sooner than we normally would.

    • PoweredByHentai

Pre-orders for the game have been up on Amazon for a long time.

      • FetusZero

Oh I know, but I’ve always preferred ordering from NISA’s store, especially since they always have some kind of exclusive offer for their games.

        • PoweredByHentai

Ah, yeah. I’ve been checking NISA’s store every day as well. My pre-ordering on Amazon is just my way of risk mitigation, at least until NISA either throws something competitive on their store.

  • Vash bane

    woah that sounds cool

  • Shariest

This looks gorgerous and has me hyped like crazy :D
Now if we Euro-Folk could get this hopefully this year or?

  • pimpalicious

Whether I’d buy this soon or not depends on how much of a dungeon crawl it will be. I still haven’t delved all that deep into Legasista and The Guided Fate Paradox interests me more than this. Will definitely get it eventually though!

*gasp* Seeing the witch without her hat…I’m unworthy!
