All Three Of Level 5′s Guild 02 Titles Are Coming To The West [Update]

By Ishaan . April 17, 2013 . 8:32am

All three of Level 5’s Guild 02 games are headed to the Nintendo eShop in North America and Europe, the publisher announced this morning. The three games in the collection are:

The Starship Damrey (pronounced “domray”) by Kazuya Asano/Takemaru Abiko

The Starship Damrey is an adventure/horror/suspense game designed by Kazuya Asano (Kamaitachi no Yoru (The Night of the Sickle Weasel), TORNEKO: The Last Hope) and written by Takemaru Abiko (Kamaitachi no Yoru (The Night of the Sickle Weasel), TRICK X LOGIC), known as pioneers of text-based adventure games in Japan.  In the game, players awaken to discover that they are trapped in a Cold Sleep capsule aboard the titular Starship Damrey, with no memory of who they are or how they got there.  With no tutorials, explanations, or hints provided, the game was created with the intent that self-discovery and experimentation be an integral part of the experience. An inconceivable truth awaits those willing to discover it.

Bonus linked content for players who have downloaded any of the previously released titles includes a special scenario providing deeper insight into the events that unfold aboard the ship that will be unlocked at the end of the player’s journey.

Thank HEAVEN they didn’t leave out Monsters Come Out on Friday. That new title is ugly though lol.

    • https://twitter.com/Ni_Go_Zero_Ichi Project 2501

The title is unwieldy, but it does fit the theme of the game in a cute way.

    • Kenny Loh

Actually i like the name of that title

    • ToshiChan

Idec I’m just happy I can play it

      • Solomon_Kano

        That’s the biggest thing, really.

  • Meep

    Happy.

    • puchinri

Your avatar matches your comment so perfectly.

  • Marcelo Gouvea

    Yes.

This got pretty much overwhelmed in the wave of awesome news, but this is still great. I really enjoy Liberation Maiden and Crimson Shroud, and still think these Guild games are basically perfect examples of things that can be sold via the eShop.

  • TiredOfMyOldUsername

Personally i’m really disapointed with that announcement.
I’m happy theses games are coming and probably will buy most if not all of them once they are released, but i really would have liked a surprise to come from that black box and not just games we already knew was coming.

    • Solomon_Kano

But this is what you should’ve expected from the Black Box teaser. They’ve only used it for Guild01 previously.

      • TiredOfMyOldUsername

It’s because i knew it was coming that i’m dissapointed.
Why do that black box thing for games almost everyone knew was coming.
It would have been much more nice if some surprise would have come from that box.

        • Solomon_Kano

That’s what I’m saying though. It was a lost cause to hope for something else from the box when they’ve established what it’s for already.

Note that another Level-5 game, Layton, was also announced without the Black Box. Clearly, that’s only for Guild titles.

  • Zonic505

Glad to see this are coming over as well. Though wouldn’t mind a bundle at a discounted price.

  • Aristides

    Awesome :P

  • AuraGuyChris

“Today, I walked to school. On the road there, I watched Godzilla fighting King Kong over at the plantations.”

    • XiaomuArisu

      Sounds like a typical friday

    • psycho_bandaid

      how nostalgic!

what, you mean your childhood wasn’t like that?

  • Tsurugi

no Inazuma Eleven GO to USA……

  • https://twitter.com/Ni_Go_Zero_Ichi Project 2501

Super eager for all of these, but the “soon” release date and lack of price tags are driving me insane.

  • puchinri

SO EXCITED! Oh my goodness, especially for Attack of the Friday Monsters~! It was so fresh and cute to look at (and makes me want to play BokunoNatsu). Also, it reminded me of a particular episode of Ojamajo Doremi, and that makes me feel so warm and fluffy inside~.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

All 3 looks great however I really want to try Attack of the Friday Monsters!

  • http://epiclyamazing.wordpress.com/ AzureNova

    Bring on the monsters! =)

  • https://twitter.com/Ni_Go_Zero_Ichi Project 2501

Wait… does Bugs vs. Tanks seriously have you play as Nazis?

  • Hours

I’m so glad we’re getting all three. Damrey and AotFM will be mine for sure. I may even get Bugs vs. Tanks just to support the Guild concept. (Which I think is awesome.)

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

I am really happy that the three games is coming here. I have been fearing that AotFM is not going to come due to them using Kaijuu which is more famous to Japanese here.

But boy, i am really excited for this year.^_^ And my wallet is still bleeding lol.^_^

  • Sigh

While I’m happy, I really wish it could be released as a hard copy. Given that all three titles are localized and not just 3 out of 4 as with Guild01, why won’t they release a hard copy then? It’s much better to own a hard copy sigh.

  • katamari damacy

Boku no Natsuyasumi released outside in japan in localized form is a welcome addition. North Americans can also relate to simpler times and rural rustic experiences. We have an entire tourism industry built on it!
